I am looking for an alternative to covering potting soil other than rocks. I was thinking of using calcium sand but don’t know the affects it would have on the plants and trees. Right now I am planning to keep them in pots but if I can find a lighter material than river rocks I will just plant...
I have hade mine for just over a month and have seen him drink twice. The other day after his morning mist there was a drop of water on both mist nozzles and I saw him looking at them and looking at me. I turned to talk to my wife and when I looked back at him one drop was gone and he was...
The lights I use for photography are 5200k because it is the closest to natural sunlight but not sure how much if any UVB/UVA they put out but they do light up well.
Just be sure it is around 12 inches from the basking spot and it will be fine. Some people will tell you it will cause blindness but that was a bad phosphorus mixture and a different brand and now they assume all cfl cause blindness.
Maybe I will just dust one or two of his crickets for a while and see if it goes away. He shed yesterday and I was surprised by what I saw when I got home. He looked normal when I left and when I got home last night his dead skin was hanging off like he just exploded.
I paid 90 dollars for a habba mist and it is useless. I ordered a mist king and love it. They have the basic kit for 99.99 and can expand up to 20 nozzles. Instead of the no drip valve reliving the presser back to the reservoir I ran it to my dripper to help keep it supplied with fresh water.
Good treats for chams?
Is there something I could use for a treat that chams can’t resist? I have sugar gliders and mealworms are like supercharged cocaine to them. Also she is only around 7 weeks old I would like something to give her when I get her out to handle her.
I want the ability spray less than a minute because I don’t know much my mister is going to spray and my Cham is a baby in a 12x12x18 inch cage witch does not take long to soak. Later when she is in her big cage I will probably not spray less than minute. Also it is better to have and not need...
I got some orbit nozzles today from home depot that mist very well and at low flow. I drilled and taped some 1/4" swaglock fittings to mount them in because I did not like their tubing or plastic mounts. Tomorrow I am going to get some pond pumps to see which one works best. Also going to put a...
My daughter’s bearded dragon loves playing in water but had to take it out because wet sand started to smell!! So now she plays in the tube every once and a while. One night she slept in her water bowl.
