    roach tank

I'm a new roach raiser myself. I bought 200 nymphs and 10 adult pairs and I have to tell you that they are going crazy. I have 3 chams and I already forsee that I'll be in a surplus in the not so distant future. There are literally hundreds of baby roaches already and I've only had them 1 month.

    Humidity

For veils, the humidity recommended is not really necessary as they do come from a drier climate. But it has been observed that in more humid conditions, they display brighter colors. As for other species, the recommended humidity is set to match their native enviroment in the wild.

Is it bad to feed my chameleon everyday?

I do 1 dubia for my female, and 2 dubias for my males everyday. Sometimes my ambilobe male eats them, sometimes he doesn't. I just let them marinate in the feeding jug til he feels like eating :D

    Branches

Wooden dowels from the lumber store (AKA Lowes or Home Depot for me) work also. They're around a dollar a piece and are like 3 feet long.

    monsoon mister

Yep. Perhaps they are including shipping cost. The King's robust digital timer trumps the novelty remote control any day. No need for a remote when everything is automatic.

    please advise

With my veil, he didn't seem to grow very much in the first few months that I've had him. Now that he is about 6-7 months old, he hit a tremendous growth spurt and is gaining weight like crazy. Just last week he gained 10 grams and I'm assuming it will be about equal when I weigh him tomorrow...

    New Owner Question

You do not need the red night bulb as a good temp drop is what they like and they need pitch black in their lights off hours. You will only need heat at night if your temps drop into the 60s. Since you are in Hawaii, your ambient temps are probably spot on inside your home. But in any case...

Looking for the perfect automatic mister!!

Those pump spray things is what you are looking for. Not that hand trigger one that makes misting tedious and gives you serious carpal tunnel. But from the overwhelming response, there are very few who have regretted getting a Mist King.

Exo Terra Monsoon vs Misty King

Why use a remote control when you can fully automate your mistings with the robust timer that the Mist King has? You can do 8 settings at whatever time you want and even specific days and you can set different durations. The remote is more of a novelty when you have a fully autmoated system...

    My cham hates water!?!?!

Don't spray directly at him. You will probably never see him drink if he hasn't done it in front of you already. If you see urate that is mostly white, he's drinking just fine.

    Quality Time!!

I noticed that you have a feeding before lights out. Most suggest to not feed them so late and give them a chance to bask for at least 4 hours as it aids in digestion. I somewhat agree with Ferrit. Even 1 hour before my chams' lights out, they are already in the spot where they will be...

TIme to move to a bigger cage

I would use the big cage. Cham's don't have "baby cages" in the wild and they seem to find food just fine. Crickets more often then not crawl towards the light anyways. And cup feeding adds piece of mind if you think your cham doesn't know how to hunt.

    Thinking about Dubias

I started with 200 mixed nymphs and 10 adult pairs. I'm feeding them off sparingly to give the colony a chance to be self sustaining. I may get another 200 mixed just to boost the colony.

What do these new colors mean?

My female changes colors similar to yours. She usually will display those darker ones like in the first photo in the morning and she lightens up. Probably trying to absorb some heat.
