    sleeping on screen

Doesn't mean the risk isn't not there. Also, some metal mesh screens are more prone to do this. It really depends on the size of the mesh - the default ones that come with aluminum cages are prone to cause nail issues. Keep in mind that nails don't grow back - why risk it. Not to mention the...

    sleeping on screen

Add more greenery to allow for more climbing surface. If he still tries to pace the enclosure and claw at the screen during the day then you need to check your temps/humidity. Could be trying to get out of the enclosure due to high temps or other factors that make it unsuitable. Some people...

    Too quiet!

In my experience compared to my panthers, my Parson's male actually is quite active and moves around the enclosure a lot. They are not as idle as one may think. I also notice that he loves to hunt aggressively. Could be a personal trait, but they are amazing hunters and will actively stalk a...

    Help!! Back Legs Not Moving

My recommendation is to stick it out. If condition degrades to the point where it inhibits eating and actually climbing (he still has the will to move using arms in pic) then you may consider putting him down. I think you will be surprised by how sometimes animals bounce back. One thing you...

    Irwin 1yr and a little....

Joe - yup! The reason for b&w - I use an iPhone, being a camera phone and all lets face it color isn't always accurate and not to mention quality. Converting it to b&w helps save a photo sometimes.

Perhaps someone can shed some light as to why American outlook and sentiment on Parsonii is so skewed or different from European and Asian counterparts? Just trying to see the big picture.

Where can I buy a background?

One of the easiest ways is to look for high resolution jungle images online from royalty free websites. Since you are using it for personal purposes (not commercial) you should be able to print the image at kinko's or something and laminate it. I personally don't enjoy backgrounds, have you...
