One of my guys turned 3 this year (time flies!) and I was curious to see who has some old parson's chameleons. I would be curious to find out what the oldest parsonii in captivity was recorded at?
Would you agree that when you try to standardize husbandry guidelines, you have to be somewhat conservative (not meaning less - but err on the safe side) in your approach. This applies to feeding, supplementation, enclosure setups, and hydration. Chameleons are more resilient than one may...
Hello,
Not sure how many people here are on facebook. But I created a facebook group for cham keepers. It's just another fun way to see who lives in your area, and network - and see pictures and get to know one another!

Or mail me your worms. LOL. Th PIG that is my cham ate 3 large hornworms and kept crawling towards the cup looking for more while his tongue was sticking out ready to shoot.
Sigh....he is what? 650 grams or so now.
Well done. I think its sleek and provides ease of use. I think that if you buy the plexi in bulk from wholesale sources you can drop the price down to make it a nice side business. Right now I just have my cages on risers (few inches off of the floor) so I can slide a metal pan in and out...

klangford. The whole full frame vs. crop sensor debate has been going on for ages (well since crop was introduced). It really boils down to what you need. Some people prefer the vignetting seen on full frame sensors, while others hate it. Some people love that cropped sensors take full...
On the humidity topic. 50% humidity with a spike is perfectly fine in my experience as long as it drinks water. The true measure here is the urate test. If the cham is at all dehydrated you'll spot it right away from the condition of it's urate.
I am also a fan of weekly showers. Seem to...
