Thank you! I don't know his exact age, Amazing Blue Reptiles never e-mailed me back as I failed to ask when I got him. But looking at pictures on here, would you say he's around 4 months?
I've now had Henry for a month and 1 day now, and his colors are so bright now! I have a NikonD40 SLR, and the color looks amazing on the computer, but once shrunken down the color seems more dull :/
He's doing really good and has shed once.
Here he is!:
I'm going on a four day vacation this weekend, and I got a timer to time Henry's UVB & heat lamp while I am gone.
I went to home depot and bought a timer and a power strip.
I plugged the two lamps into the power strip, and then plugged the timer in the power strip as well (I couldn't plug the...
what a great show! I wish I could've gone, but I'm all the way in CA :[
the sacremento show is in sept, so i'll get my reptile show fix soon :P
The parsonii is beaaauuutifulll. but wow! 2000 dollars!
On Aug 8, I went to the San Jose show, and he was there :[ He was showing same colors. I...
So I just recieved my Temp Gun from LLLreptile, for my little cham.
I'm assuming I point and shoot to get the temperature.
The upper area is around 83-85 F, when I point to the area under the basking I get 88-91 F, and the bottom of the cage is 73-76F
I could get you exact degrees..but...
@joshdhensly: Thank you for the info/comformation :]
I put it back in, and his cage is stuffed with plants and vines, I think he is happy :]
@oatmeleon: Thank you for the comment, I've only had him for about 2 weeks and he's totally stolen my heart :] I've kept reptiles (arboreal mostly)...
I'm a night owl too, and usually am up doing something in my room until 3 am. I have found if I keep the lights not too bright, my cham won't wake. You could also cover the side where the light would reach him. I've played music late at night and my little guy hasn't woken.
As for feeding, I...
Oh okay, it was the pothos looking plant in the corner with the extra light patterning, which I think was the concern, but I'm glad to hear it is not toxic
@summoner12: Thank you for the advice :]
I did add a jungle vine and a plant vine (bought from lllreptile) behind the ficus which gives him a lot more privacy. That's very cute about your female warming her eggs :P
Yeah, I've been giving him a lot more privacy and only visiting to mist and...
What a lucky boy he'll be!! I like the color of the wood too :]
I can't wait to see the finished product and the lucky cham himself!
I would make sure to provide a very hidden spot for him...maybe several. The cats may hang around the cage when you're not there (unless you don't plan to...
@syn: hmm yeah, I get what you mean. It did say pothos on the tag, but I took the plant out just in case...and of course I didn't keep my reciept to exchange it :/
Unfortunately, the ants came back, not as bad as before, but we found where they were coming from, taped it up (thanks dad...)...
