I have done some thinking of my own on building something similar to Bill’s DSC. finding the high quality materials and time invested to create your own isn’t worth it to me. You may end up saving a few bucks but nothing to get excited over. If anything just knowing you built it would be it. And...
Could be in some cases but not this one if you take a closer look you can see very little to no white on the egg. If it was the lighting then you probably wouldn’t see any difference in the egg as the are so small.
Sorry to say but that eggs looks totally infertile. A healthy fertile egg would be white in color even after hatching. Your egg is completely yellow in color I’m the early pics there was some white but this new pic leads me to believe it’s done for. Contact the breeder and request a new egg if...
Agree with @nightanole a bit underweight. I would try to give him a variety of feeders some silkworms or even superworms. You said you are feeding him 5 locust a day but are they all being eaten? Chams will get tired of te same food source and sometimes refuse to eat.
I think we humans over think 🤔 this kinda of stuff it’s in our nature I guess. Like @AnamCara mentioned I was concerned more so about being able to feed before going to work. But my lights are on smart timers so they all adjusted to the time change. Lights still going on and off as usual.
Free roaming is awesome but screen crawling either inside or outside the cage is not good for chams. One big reason is the chance of pulling out a nail from getting stuck in the screen holes. This is why we try and give them lots of options to climb around inside the cage. As well as some people...
Agree with @kinyonga 47 is a fairly large clutch. Such a lot of energy being wasted on infertile eggs. Try and find that sweet spot of feeding her. For the longevity of her life and health.
