Playing a video game this morning. I look over to Wodins cage, and he is pure black. I roll my chair over and this is how is looking at me. Apparently he is not impressed with my video game skills.
Another good way is put them in the fridge for a couple of minutes, that will slow them down and not as jumpy. then any other method stated here will work. But i've always put them in the fridge for 5 minutes and they quiet right down.
Take him to a vet right away. Also how many crickets are you giving at a time? Are you feeding your crickets? You shouldn't leave crickets in the cage over night, (im just assuming this is when they are attacking him/her, since chameleons seem really Laissez faire when they sleep).
yeah what also is funny is my girlfriend also bought one from Edgar that day too haha. She got the Alpha of the clutch for sure. he is about 3x the size of mine, just huge. We are really excited to see how much they turn out like Bowie, which i recently found out you purchased, congrats btw.
Picked this guy up from Canada Chameleons yesterday at the Ontario Reptile expo. named him Odin Ragna-Rock'n'Rolla. Hopefully he turns out to be as beautiful as his Sire Bowie. Thank you Edgar from Canada Chameleons again!http://imgur.com/TQHC4
You and I had the same idea OP. My girlfriend and I both bought nosy falys from Canada Chameleons yesterday at the Expo. Beautiful boys. My girlfriend got the Alpha of the clutch. He is about 3x the size of my boy.
Personally a quick wipe down shouldn't stress him out that much. He is probably hiding because he is also pretty young. But if you feel that its imperative, you can always set up another perch outside the cage to reduce the stress, while you clean out the cage.
