Thats sad to hear, I suppose it just depends on the actual Petco/Petsmart location. The ones around me are no chameleons experts, but they do give plants, water, hiding spots, heat bulb and the bare essentials they need.... for the most part :/
Kind of looks like a female to me, but again it is hard to tell at a young age. I only say that because of they color and "lack of vent buldge" Screamleons is a great place, so if you were wanting a male and got on accident a female (We will soon find out ;) I am sure they will take care of you.
Here is a picture of his cage he stay's in, this picture is taken outside obviously with none of my lights nor Mistking. It was hot out today with high humidity... he LOVED it
Here is a month progression of this lil cross. I am still waiting on his first shed (THE MORE PICTURES :) ) but until then, here is a month in my hands, hows he look?
So far so good people! For the first time today, I saw "The chameleon" (No official name yet) shoot for water from his dripper. I have seen him walking around licking the LITTLE drops on the leafs, but always concerned that was not enought... of course being an overprotective/concerned parent :p...
Put in a 75W (if that makes your temps good) house bulb, not a red bulb. Also use a strip UVB bulb and housing unit, not compact, along with some good ole hydration from the shower should help.
Good idea. I think the petstores sell their crickets for like 13 cents a piece and online you can get them for about 3 cents a piece in bulk. Plus you dont have to spend gas money and waste your time and drive :D
I had the same issue when trying to ship my bearded dragons. The solution to that is contact the main hub around you and most likely they ship them out. I had to talk to several people at these locations because some said they did and others said they do not. I would keep calling around and...
Ok good idea to get a screen cage! You will need to put large river rocks or something of that nature on the top of the soil so your lil guy/girl cant eat it... even if it is organic.
Need more branches at the top, get a pothos plant or something for the bottom. Also, is that a substrate at the bottom?! If so, get rid of it and replace it with paper towels or, if it is plastic, nothing.
Good start however here are some improvements that need to be made:
1. No light at night (red, blue or anything) just dark.
2. Sounds like your panther is about 4 months old if only eating 4 crickets a day so drop the temp down to about 75 ambient temp and 85 basking spot.
3. MAIN THING, get...
