As some of you may know I'm gathering up the necessary items to set up a Reptibreeze XL into which I plan on putting my male veiled. I've already purchased Lucky Reptile's Super Fog II, but do you think I would also require an alternate drinking water source, or would that be overkill? I've been...
I went to a huge garden centre a few weeks ago when I went to buy some plants for my chameleon's future viv, and I was very happy to accidentally find some rather long ones with large, ivy leaves on them, the vines were about 2 metres in length I think, and they were a very reasonable price...
Unfortunately no vendors would send it to Europe, but fortunately one of my best friends who used to live here is now living in California, I asked him and he said I could have it delivered to his place and then he'd forward it on to me. I've read a plethora of good reviews for the Cantina, so...
No problemo, I'm sure there are others on here who'll possess a wealth of information for keeping chameleons where you are, over here in France the reptile pet community is rather small but growing.
Can I ask what kind/size vivarium you've bought for your chameleon? What other equipment have...
I live in the north of France, so our temperature's nothing compared to yours in Florida, as a result I keep my viv in my room not far from my radiator and my window, in the winter the heating's always on and keeps the room at a constant, comfortable temperature, and in the warmer months my...
In regards to cleaning it'll mostly depend on whether or not you decide to keep any kind of substrate on the base of your viv, however you'll find the majority of us on here advise against substrate in chameleon vivs altogether. It makes cleaning the viv a hell of a lot easier for you, but also...
The plant is a good choice, Schefflera or Ficus Benjamina are common and safe plant types for chameleons, also easy to raise and maintain in cooler or less sunny climates.
Yeah, my young Ziggy started properly today, I noticed it on his feet last night at lights-out, and when I came back from work at lunch time he looked pretty funny with all the dry skin curing around him from the bottom up. He's 3 months old and it's his first shed since I bought him a few...
Sorry folks if it comes off as pestering, but I've sorted out the lighting of my XL Reptibreeze (I've purchased an Arcadia 24W D3 12% Canopy), into which I plan on moving my male veiled in maybe 6 weeks, but now I'm in need of a little help in regards to the heating.
As I'll have a pretty...
A good idea, but unfortunately I can't get there this weekend, thanks for the idea though.
I've decided to roll with the Arcadia D3 12% Canopy, now I just have to sort out the heating arrangement.
