Bradypodions for sure, but mainly the kind nobody can get. The pumilums, thamnobates and dracs. Not really sure why, I guess because the look so much like what you think a chameleon should look like but much smaller. Maybe it's because most are unobtainable now.
Wow!! Neat to see what everyone does for a living. I own a heating, AC and refrigeration company in the Shreveport area. This will be my tenth year in the biz. Would give it all up for Chris Andersons job!!LOL
What species? Please post pics when you can. I've talked to mike a few times but have bought all my chams from kammerflage. Only because he didn't have what I was looking for at the time. He's always been very helpfull, even though he knew I wasn't buying from him. BTW... has anyone else seen...
wow crazychameleon5, you have come so far! I remember the first time we grilled you all the facts about chameleon keeping (lol just kidding here :D)
:p
Is she the one everybody raked over the coals? If so, it seems to have worked. Nice setup.
You made a good choice with the veiled. Get some exp. first and then go for the harder to keep species. I just ventured into a camaroon sailfin a couple of months ago and it's kind of like learning all over again. veileds are great hardy chameleons with lots of personality. Good luck. David
I've never ordered from him, but he has the most unusual lookin WC veileds I've ever seen. The ones on his site are fufl of reds. How old is the one you ordered?
I don't know about panthers but I've read that in the wild, a single male veiled is often in the upper parts of a tree with several breeding age females and immature males in the lower parts of the tree.
If you don't have much exp. with chams, this forum will be your best friend. Many people on here have decades of actual exp. with them and are more than glad to help. Stay away from petstore advice! It has killed many a chameleon. It's likely that your jackson's are wild caught and should...
Dankmeleon is right. Their not that hard to care for. Get a good ultrasonic humidifier from and walmart or drugstore and keep their temps on the cool side. Be careful on supplementation as they are more susceptible to over supplementation than the veileds or panthers. Also watch out for mouth...
I also use cricketfood.com and dandelions and whatever else I find in the fridge. I believe the dandelion has quite a bit of vit a and so I never supplement for it.
If you can find blue bottle fly larvae (maggot's) they are MUCH larger than regular house flies. A young healthy veiled will eat probably 30 of them a day. Try to find the maggot's instead of the pupae. The pupae will all hatch at once and then you'll have to take care of 500 or so flies. They...
