It makes sense to me, first chameleon I've ever had that only eats white food, weird. Thanks for the input. David

No, won't leave a puddle at all. I don't have a picture but they have an internal fan that blows the fog in the direction you choose. I set mine on a stool and aim it toward the cage. It will coat the leaves witha fine mist. Good luck. David

Becky, why don't you download Brads site. I don't have much time to write now, but I'll look it up for you. I bet if you PM Chris Anderson, he would also write you a short letter you could take with you since he has all the credentials. Hopefully they will let you exchange it for a reptarium...

Pet shop advice has killed many a cham. Becky, please try to get the proper lighting as quickly as you can and your water drip going. MBD can be a heartbreaking problem and it doesn't take that long for it to take hold. It will cause their bones to get rubbery to the point that they can no...

Termites on new cage!! What to do?

You can bake at 200 degrees for 15 minutes. Is it in the wood that makes up your cage or just your grapevines and wood inside the cage?

    I need some answer,please........

Muhamed, also ask him what species of chameleon they are. The one you have now is not a veiled. I think someone on your last thread identified it, I just don't remember what it was. Also ask where they came from, what country. These are most likely wild caught, check their skin closely to see if...

    Happy/Unhappy Lizards in the Sun!

Bottom picture is great! I've never seen a cham that actually looked so happy. Looks like she's actually smiling. I know your female isn't gravid, but I think the gravid colors on a female veiled are one the prettiest of all chameleons. Thanks for sharing the pictures. David

Glad to hear he's still hanging in there! Be sure if you exchange this chameleon that you get another male. Much easier to take care of for a beginner. Try to look them over good and get the healthiest one. Look for things like good full eyes, smooth skin, not to skinny, good grip when you hold...

I can't get it hot enough

I don't understand this at all. I tried a zoo med 100 watt halogen placed 6 inches away from the screen and it was way too hot. I got rid of it quick, it would have most certainly burned my chams. Doesn't make any sense to me! If you have it right on top of the cage and he's six inches away, I...

Becky, Sorry to tell you, but your whole setup is wrong and dangerous for your little guy. I don't know what you mean by green light. The lighting is extremely important as the wrong type can lead to metabolic bone disease (MBD). You need to get this specific bulb, repti-sun 5.0. It comes in 2...

    waking him up?

I would think that he is still warming up when you spray him. He's dark because dark colors absorb heat better. I think he's just moving to get away from the mist. Most of mine spend about an hour at least under the light before they start moving around. Good luck with him. David

I don't know if your familiar with the ultrasonic type humidifier so I'll tell you what To look for. Not trying to treat you like an idiot, I just don't know if your familiar with them. There not the old type of humidifier that blows through a wet media and thus humidifies the air. It will say...

    please help!

As for the d3. I got my information from Dave Weldon who has done extensive research on this. Testing the amount of UVB with every type of cage. Dave was also helping one of the light manufacturers do to a problem with some of their compact bulbs that were causing blistering in chams and even...
