Yeah thought so. I had gotten my veiled from a local petstore the only local petsore :mad: and they told me it was an incomplete shed come to find out when i joined chameleon forums it was a thermal burn :(

As far as handling goes some chams especially veileds tend to be picky and less docile.
Although what you can do now is put a super worm or something that cant move fast and put it on your forearm start at the hand and see if he will eat...
I have had the same problem Syn. He kept on eating the pothos and only the pothos I just let him eat them he ate about 2 hanging plants total, he never got sick or i never notcied anything unusal. I would like to say its kind of a phase some notorious veileds go through.

IMO i wouldnt get a venus flytrap as you said they require copious amounts of sun. Get yourself a nice pitcher plant
