I’ve seen multiple people saying Hass or Mexican avocados are safe for chameleons (veileds specifically) and that the Guatemalan avocados are poisonous. Those were 5 years ago so I was wondering if the Mexican variant are still considered non toxic or safe for chameleons
I've taken him to the vet and he said the reason why his crest is puffy is because of a burn on the top of his head and because the the mouth muscles are connected to the crest the side of his face /his jaw is puffy as well and it's just a healing process. He has given us a prescription for that...
K well I searched it up and it said pharmaceutical cream so I assumed u needed a prescription and brushed it over so I'll check my shoppers drug mart and see if they supply it. Thanks

Sorry must of went over my head and now that I think about it regular lotion wouldn't help but maybe aloa vera I know it's good for human burns but not sure about chameleons.
I wish I could get him in sooner but after a few months of calling the one vet that takes in exotic animals could finally get him in. The thing is his eyes were swollen and than started going down almost to the point were it was gone and now it's back worse than before and I've been stressing...
