i think thats an overall problem with the drippers period. but i figure as long as he knows theres water coming out of here sometime he will know where to find it :-)
question about you putting your cham in an outside tree.... are you not afraid that they will run off? or get scooped up by a bird or cat or something? I put my bearded dragons out side on a boulder in my front yard and they love it but they are on a leash and its looped around a fencing post...
the humming bird feeder had a glass tube that shot out from the bottom kind of like a hamster water bottle would so i just took it out and actually put a screw anchor (the little plastic things that you would put in the wall to make sure your screw doesnt just tear up the dry wall ??? ) in where...
Well as you can see by his pics he's not exactly a "big kid" yet. but he's growing strong and I can tell he already loves it so. he took a few walks around the circle on his bamboo jungle gym that was in his old cage and then ventrured out into the new territory, it took him about an hour tho i...
nice enclosure! pretty sweet. i'm putting up pics now of mine that i just finished today too. it's just a modified antique bird cage though. nothing like yours! was this something that you modifed or built from ground up? it looks like it could have once been a stereo cabinet or something? great...
they were a small enough size i dont think they would have harmed him. he is used to eating dubia anyway. and the bugs can be let go or i just wikipediaed it and they will breed and make more mealworms. :-/ wish i would have known that before i fed them to him. thanks for all your help!
there were little black bugs in it?? not like nats or anything but beetle looking bugs. does anyone know what these are or if they are harmful to the cham being that they were once acceptable food and then morphed into this bug and have never eaten anything but what was in the mealworm container?
i did scoop the babies up straight from the colony bin. they were dusted a bit but sat in the cup for a few days until they disappeared. the crickets are gut loaded with this yellow gut load gel by flukers called cricket quencher calcium fortified. the dubias are being fed veggies such as kale...
yeah thats a good point. he was staying stuck up in the yellowish plant in the right corner until i added more bamboo sticks now he goes down into that for sleeping which im sure is more comfy and soft. like going from a futon to a pillow top king size. lol. i will try elevating the plant more...

I bought almost 300 dubias from her for like $35 or $40 shipped from FL to VA. and they are reproducing like crazy. the mating adults were so big it made me wanna puke when they came falling out of the box. they were def ready...
he hatched in november so that makes him just about 5 months old. his name is "Leon the Chameleon!" (using the voice of a circus ringmaster or the ready to rumble guy) :o hes been free ranging small crickets and i also added some dubias into a small cup to see if he would go for those too. They...
i tried to use a pond pump to make my own mister and i couldnt get enough pressure. i think the "head height" was 4.1ft and i connected it to tubing and used a garden mister head and it just dribbled out. but when i hooked the same tubing straight to a spiggot it misted like no tomorrow. i think...
i got my ambanja today from jim at the chameleon company. i got him a reptisun 5.0 uvb light but its not the bar kind it is the the coiled looking energy efficient looking bulb. this is not the mvb you are talking about is it? ive never heard of that. just wondering. thanks
where can i find a timer to set to my mister? its a custom mister so it doesnt have a timer in it and i need to find one, but most of the ones i see like the zoomed for example doesnt let you program it for multiple times in one day. any ideas?
ok so with the mist king all you have to do is buy the pieces to make it point downwards instead of out right? and do you have to connect it to a water source ( like a gallon jug of water) in order for it not to suck all the water out too quickly? Thanks.
