    eating less and less

It is imperative that you get a digital thermometer or temp gun to find out his basking temp. How are you reading what the ambient temp is? That gutload is garbage. Sandra does a really good job with gutloading info, here is a link for you to check out...

You still left out quite a bit of info Tyler. Is 80 his basking temp or ambient? What type of plants do you use? What do his droppings look like? Can you post a pic of him from today? What makes you think he enjoys handling? How often do you do this? What are the names of all the...

    Gravid/pregnate??????

IMO means "in my opinion". A garbage bag is fine. You DO need something covering the front, I don't see how a bag could be problematic. I usually use pillowcases or towels, but regardless, you need something covering all sides. As everyone else has stated several times, LEAVE HER ALONE...

    Bloated and Rapid Death....

I am curious about the bloating you mentioned. Is the bloating prior to death? How quickly does the bloating come on? Is it possible you are mistaking bloating with egg production and females that are carrying eggs? Have you taken any of these girls in for a necropsy? How old were these...

Trying to breed my female ambilobe with no success.

Jim- Sorry if you took offense to this statement, as this was not directed at you. I never quoted you once during my last post...geez, how do you fit through the door? ;) You speak plenty and often of your facility in FL, and from what you say, it sounds like you have plenty of stock, and...

Trying to breed my female ambilobe with no success.

This is not necessarily true. I have owned several females who never layed a single egg until they were mated. Could most have them mated at 5 months, yes. Were several of them showing receptive coloration at 30-35 grams, yes. Does that mean I decided to mate them at the first available...

It is a digital timer. I believe Mist King sells one that is programmable in the same way.

You could either hot glue some screen to the underside of the holes, or you could cup feed.

    Horrible dog owners!!!!!

It really is amazing how stupid and cruel some people can be. I have a story to share...VERY SAD>>>BE WARNED BEFORE YOU CONTINUE READING!! Chris and I grew up in MI, and this happened about 2 or 3 years agobefore we moved to NV. One of the principles for an elementary school in the city...

The recovery made by one little Nosy Be

Does your screen cage have a plastic bottom? If so drill a few holes in the center, and let the excess water drip through into a bucket. That is what we do with all of our cages and it works very well.

My Veiled won't open her eyes. Any advice appriciated

One other thing that the others haven't mentioned, is how tiny she is for her age. Honestly, this does not sound like a new problem. Rather one that has gradually gotten worse from inadequate care over an extended period of time. The fact that she has one eye open is progress, I'm sure...

The recovery made by one little Nosy Be

I agree with Jann that 90 is too hot for such a small, young baby. I would also increase the length of your misting sessions. Some chameleons will need longer than one minute to stimulate them to drink. I have my misters set to go off 5 times a day at 5-7 minutes each time. This added...
