Cute little guy you have :) I would switch out the red bulb for a regular household type. They associate the light with heat, and a place to bask in...much cheaper than the red ones too!
The nose crusties you are describing sounds like an over-supplementation issue. What are you using for supplements and how much are you using each time? Most times the crusties will go away with lowering the amount of supplements as well as bumping up humidity. I moved to Nevada from MI, so I...
We have a few of these guys left. Any ordered by the end of the month will only be $30...we are closing on a house on the 31st and want these guys to find new loving homes a.s.a.p. :D
Leave her alone until she covers the hole and returns to her branches. Also, in case you are unaware, make sure she does not see you looking at her during this process. We like to hang towels or pillow cases around our females cages while they are laying to give them more privacy.
I have several veileds for sale between the ages of 2.5 and 3 months. They are showing nice barring already, and are a pretty bright yellow/green when at rest. I will not have any more babies from this pairing, as the sire passed this summer. Miguel (the sire) was absolutely gorgeous and was...

Eek! I meant to say fine grain vermiculite. Since that first mishap, I switched to coarse grain. It is much easier to tell how much moisture is in the substrate when it is coarse grain.
Another issue that can arise with too much water is that it can cause the shell to turn rubbery. The neonates are unable to get out of the shell if this happens. Are you using coarse or fine grain vermiculite? I lost my very first clutch of veileds this way using coarse grain with too much...
Dez is right with the growth spurt. We have some babies about 3 months right now. They hatched at 6 months and were TINY!! Some look only a few weeks old, while others are 4 times the size. They all eventually catch up...some just slower than others.
Just because his girls are from that bloodline does not mean he purchased them from that breeder. The way you wrote that makes it sound like he did, which he did not.
Well, plenty have tried this with little effect. Remember the last female that was ill for 2+ months while forum members said...
