Hey everybody, my male ambanja's(clyde) eyes are really dry and im having trouble finding saline drops. i was wondering if i could use something like "clear eyes" from the grocery store to moisten them? He is currently using medicated drops the vet perscribed, but i think they are drying out his...
thanks for the quick reply, and if you dont mind, i have a few more questions for you.
-when should i clean everything, now or after i am finished treating everything, or sometime in between.
-in each of my cages i have a ficus, an umbrella, and a pothos all tied together with biovines, so do...
what a week...So i when i took Clyde to the doc yesterday cause he wasn't looking good we had a fecal done. Got him some eye drops to fix up his right eye and today the results of the fecal came in and it turns out he had a high count of pin worms... i believe the vet will prescribe panacur but...
just put your hand in there slowly and very gently scoop her up, be careful not to pull her away if her hands and tail are on the branch, you are going to have to do this from time to time to clean stuff so just figure out how to do it, my female still gets angry when i pull her out but she...
I like all of these, but what does everyone think about a "chams and their owners contest"? i have seen some good ones posted before, its always nice to put faces to the names.
Update, went to San Roque pet hospital and saw Dr.Welton, who seems to have some good reptile experience. We put him on a Baytril to cure any possible URI even though we really couldn't see any severe symptoms(better safe than sorry), and some eye drops i have to pick up later to clear up his...
Clydes eye problem has reoccurred today, alothough never fully gone was starting to look better, then this morning he looks pretty uncomfortable and may be exhibiting upper respiratory infection, so it time to go to the vet, but i have gone through the links and cant find anything of much help...
your little panther is so cute, as long as the rest of his health is fine im sure he will do great with you, he should learn how to get around just fine with his back legs and his tail, i would love to see a video of him on the move. I bet in a few months his legs and tail are going to be...
my female panther has "big-o-ghetto nails" as well, my girlfriend wants to paint them, lol. Its just something that is going to hurt when you hold them, your gonna have to get used to it, i wish they could be trimmed, but they cant.
i hope so, one day i would like to get a set up like that, your pictures are amazing, but with a college budget ill stick to my p.o.s. p&s for now, really want to get an slr. Keep up the photos, they are always fun to look at.
i agree, my chams are from different bloodlines, but i still find the whole genetic side of the thing to be very valid question. Has there been any studies of this in herps? everyone says deformities will happen, but has anyone actually seen one?
i agree, if you have done your research correctly and get set up BEFORE you get your cham you should be fine with either, panthers can be a little more finiky at times, but its really hard for me to compare because i have never had a veiled, yet... either way this board should be able to help...
Thank you so much!, my girlfriend and i call her green on her face her "makeup" lol, sometimes she will get dots like that all over her body, but never long enough for me to grab a camera, one of these days ill get a good picture of her when shes got her green all over.
very interesting, so if i read above correctly:
brother sister= ok, but no genetic diversity
son mother= bad combination
daughter father= ok
anything else is good.
did i get that right? this is interesting, and i also think that we avoid this because of the stigma for people that do this...
