I used the zoomed powersun before and it was too hot and intense, and it put out too much UVB. It gave my baby veiled eye problems and it was so drying on the plant and cage. You can use it if you have a large enough enclosure and if you elevate it to the proper distance.
I've never had to "train" a chameleon to cup feed. They've all just eaten from the cup.
I just put crickets in a bowl at the bottom of the cage and he goes down and eats whenever he is hungry!
http://lllreptile.com/store/catalog/reptile-supplies/vitamins-medicines-and-cage-cleaners/reptile-calcium-and-vitamins/-/repashy-calcium-plus-3oz-jar/ This is an all-in-one supplement that you use every feeding instead of what you already have. Or you can just get this for plain calcium without...
How long do you mist him for? It takes me like 2 minutes before my chameleon will start licking the water. Also you only had him for 2 weeks, so he may still be getting comfortable. Your setup looks great though!
Oh okay, well as long as your temps are in the low 80's you are good. Just make sure your Cham doesn't get too close and burn himself. I personally would use a 60-100 watt bulb and put it closer to the cage, but if the 160 works for you then stick with it!
Your cage looks great! I'm sure your cham will love it :)
As for the dripper, I have never been able to make one myself with a cup, it ends up dripping too much water or none at all!
Upload pics of your cham when you get it! I'm getting a veiled in the next few weeks also!!
Repti-glo is completely fine, most people just use Reptisun because it's well known and lasts a little longer. Just replace your bulb every 6 months and you are fine!
He looks great, he was probably just afraid of your camera so he puffed up.
I'm glad he's already eating and drinking, that's really good.
I would probably add some more plants for him to hide though.
Other than that, I'm glad you're happy!
Yes, I bought the male on the first day and noticed it had no spurs.
I went back the next day and they assured me it was a male so I went ahead and bought a female, that one for sure is a female and they both have no spurs.
