By, "Put moss to my veiled chameleon" are you intending to feed the moss to your chameleon or use moss in your chameleons enclosure? I would say you should do neither. No Moss! :D

From what I know the chow that they eat are of a different formula and that's the reason for the hornworms difference in color. Hornworm chow is a sort of mystery munch to me. I've heard that it's made of soy? I really wish I knew what they made the stuff out of.
