It's a sign the dubia having a lack of protein. Simple as that. None of my breeding colony feeds on each other. They are feed a steady supply of dog food and vegetables. I have a nice size colony, too. I pulled about 500 babies out of the bin this week.

Panthers and veileds all have; 48" reptisuns, 48" grow lights, and one 40 watt house bulb. One panther has a 100 watt mercury vapor by Zoomed. The chameleon room glows during the day.

Take a pair of dice and lable each individual animal with a number, then roll.:) It's really a crap shoot, so even the ugly duckling can turn out beautiful. Hold a few back and just keep you favorite.

Dont Worry Chameleons can be scared of the sun. I own several that duck and cover at the first sight of sunlight. They will shrink up their body and curl around a branch, arm, etc. It's totally normal, so I wouldn't worry about it too much. It seems that veileds will do it more then...

I just tried a new FF vendor, and to my surprise... they are awesome. Buy four and get one free! All the cultures are loaded with flies. I have around 200 flies in each culture. Each one is filled about two inches high with media, too.:eek: Very, very, very impressed. A++++...
