    Female Panthers; Cover Soil?

Hello everyone, I've got some pretty exciting news, today I am taking in a 1.5 years old female Ambilobe panther chameleon who hasn't seen the best of care and I am hoping to change that. I've been doing tons of research on females, but haven't seen anything about covering up her plant soil...

I agree, I am surprised to. OP do you think you may have overlooked it? It doesn't say 6500K directly on the box, but says DAYLIGHT (http://www.homedepot.ca/product/mini-twister-daylight-compact-fluorescent-bulb-23-watt-4-pack/914391).

5000k will be brighter than your repti-glo so you could try it if it's not too much $$, but 6500K works best. Do you have Dollarama's near you? I found 6500K Daylight CFL's for only $2 there and they are SO bright. My plants flourish underneath them.

    Archer and his Adult Enclosure

Thank you so much! I love to cram-pack the enclosures with chameleon safe plants such as pothos, ficus, schefflera, gardenia, hibiscus and bromeliads :D

The definitive lighting thread! Everything you really need to know

Your SunRay gives off plenty of UVB, I don't see why you would want to add more. Chameleons need to be able to escape the 'sun' frequently throughout the day, however the more UVB lights you have the more exposed they will be.
