yeah my concern was him not finding food. I could reduce the space with some nylon screen I bought recently, because
I'm worried he wouldn't get enough air flow in the tank... :/
-what if I mist less and still have a dripper(are they called like that??:confused:haha)
-I would keep the tank in a cool room (cool temp. al day, cheked)
- Ibought D3-less calcium, multi vitamins and crickets are packed haha
I was concerned about the tank heating up because of lightbulb /uvb...
Hi, Im picking up my 2 month old blue bar tomorrow. The guys at the shop suggested me to keep him for a couple of months in a vertically placed fish tank (with uvb, vines etc as in a normal setup..) since I already own a screen cage that's 47x19.6x19.6, that way I wont have to buy another screen...
I wish I had seen this thread before and not beeing so credulous
I was aiming to buy a fisher chameleon days before I bought my gracilis(not that I regret buying him), I was pretty much convinced but some guys at the store told me that even in the best of conditions the didn't live past...
This is my enclosure, Ive had my gracilis for a month now, he is my first chameleon. I took this picture today, he does have lights and uvb! just took them off for the pictures ;)
ok... so I found him again at the bottom of his enclosure fully black.... as soon as I picked him up and placed him on top of the enclosure (where I have another plant, same as the one he has inside) he turned fully yellow and greem and seems waaay more relaxed.. can't leave him there unattended...
My bad on the mood thing, what I meant is that I've only seen him like this a couple of times in the past two days. So as you said I'm trying to fix this as soon as possible:D
hes been in that enclosure for around 2 weeks, you may wonder why no home improvement was done, well that was because I was out of action due to surgery wich had me laying in bed for a week. So I could only take care of the essentials, humidity , temp and food (crickets and wors), just don't...
this is his new enclosure, wich I just built recently, he used to be in a smaller aluminum frame enclosure. In wich the plant and branch you see in the picture took all of the space.
lightning, he has a UVA/UVB lamp
branches, I bought more today
I totally agree on the lack of plants, and I...
So I`ve got my chamaeleo gracilis for a month now, he's got enough space to move around, temperature is right, enough water and food too, but couple of days back, I`ve found him on the bottom of the cage all black and quite angry.
any ideas on what's going on?
thanks
