Why chameleons get URI?
My cham was little bit dehydrated and I gave him a shower with flower bottle spray. He was drinking but at the end his breathing changed. Like if he would inhale water and than exhale it.
Now in cage he breaths normaly.
In his cage I maintaine humidity for...
Why bad idea. I keep eye on temperatures my friend. And I don't mist lights, but even if I spray them I think they won't explode. They did never explode for now. :)
Hi guys, I contacted my friend and he will put that long UV in my cage and get rid of the compact one. He will put lights in cage so he won't be able to touch them. I will get a pothos too and cover it over the bungee ropes. And don't worry for bungee ropes to let go. I checked them from very...
No problem. I have a friend that does things like that. I will ask him if he can put the UVB tube in cage somehow. I will see if he is going to put it in the cage and put the mesh around or cut the wood and put the mesh on and with lights.
Bye :)
Here in my country people don't think that compact bulb does damage to their eyes... well, not many people keep chameleon in a house because here live only 2 000 000 people in country :(
I know that about compact bulbs, but I don't have any tools and any experience of making & building...
1.) He can't touch them because of his big crown. Don't worry about that.
2.) These sticks always stay still and do not move. I had real sticks before but they are moving and he doesn't feel stable on them. I couldn't get thicker ones.
Bungee cords is replacement for that brown rope before...
No way he can burn. The temp is around 34°C which is temp for bask. Ambient is 28°C.
@Jeremy: I really don't agree. He likes all those sticks to climb on. And is more active during day. Before he wasn't. And he wasn't hidding from the light but from me. He is almost always near light...
You won't trust me but mine cham was just like yours. He hisses, bites...
I couldn't handle him without gloves.
Now he is over 1 year old and recently I went on vacations for 4 weeks. I left him to my m8 which keeps reptiles.
He was handling him every day and he isn't scared of bites. But he...
When I got my Veiled he was shy too. He was 3 months old when I got him. He was also always hidding like yours. He never hissed or tried to bite when he was young. But now when he is over 1 year old he never hides he just stays where he is and if I come 2 close he hisses and if I come even...
I'm ill at the moment. I have headache, sealed nose and I cough. Can anything happen to my cham (veiled, 1 year)? Can he become sick because of me?
Sorry for your loss. It's hard.:(
But what do you guys do with cham when he dies? Probably you won't eat him, so I wonder where do you leave them?:o
Greets!
