They absorb more heat through dark colors. Thats totaly normal.
When they're hot they turn very light, and when too hot they open their mouth and trying to cool down.
Make sure basking spot is around 30-33°C and ambient temp lower.
This is carpet from coconut fibres and doesn't harm him. He has good grip and likes climbing up and down, thats why I won't remove it.
Umm.. and glue doesn't work too, It can't stick together carpet with wood.
Any other suggestions?
I have wooden cage, with front mesh dors and some airholes on back side wall. I have "carpet on the sides but crix like to hide on the top. See in pics.
I already tried to to seal with absorbent cotton, but my Veiled was eating it, so I removed it.
What do you think how could I...
I thought on that too. So I never gave him earth-worm.
Walking sticks don't have any available nutritional info so are best used as a treat much as wax worms are.
I thought on that too. They are almost nothing. Only 6 legs and a body (1 leg more:D)
But cham was pretty interested on...
Today for the first time I introduced my veiled (male, over 1 year old) to this animal
I think he liked it. How much should I offer it and how frequently?
BTW: Are these maybe better than superworms?
Paint artists should try to paint chameleons. I would have planty of pics on my walls :D
Just few days while I was in job I missed my veiled and I draw him and took a pic with mobile phone. :D
That looks like UV burn for me. This happens if you use compact bulb. Change the bulb with linear tube one. Reptisun 5.0 should do the job. And take that guy to the vet.
I can't remember. Panic grabbed me. I took him of plant and place him in cage to warm up. Than I listened for a while and he was normally. He was hissing normally too.
Than I decided to open that thread.
