He’s been shedding and I noticed Something on his back that wasn’t there before.
Red spots! And a brighter shade of green. His colors are slowly coming back. Slow progress but proud of what we have made
For those of you who don’t know, Danny came from a chain pet store that is known for...
I read somewhere that melafix could be harmful to the labyrinth organ, but I’m not sure I don’t know too much else about it.
I did a water change and gave him another dose of bettafix for now. It says it’s a general antibacterial treatment. I’ll be able to go to the pet store tomorrow. And get...
Yes swimming has been hard for him so he lays at the bottom most of the time. So do you think I should stop using the bacterial treatment and find the MELA+PIMAFIX?
Would a pet store sell that or is that something I need to order online?
I don’t have an air stone handy but I can definitely...
I got him from petsmart. I know now that they don’t take the best care of their fish. He was surprisingly healthy when I got him though. I know that the Betta they sell are around 1 year old
Is anyone here familiar with bettas and/or betta health issues? I got my male (Zuko) back in Dec of 2020. I think it’s around 2+ years old. He’s starting to act very strange. I first noticed his fins looking a little rough so performed a water change and kept an eye on him. He didn’t improve so...
I want to do a webcam for my reptiles. Any idea of a good brand/type that isn’t overly expensive? Preferably one that has a night vision option too (my crestie is a nocturnal gecko)
Yes! They gave me a little test tube like thing and I brought them back a sample. It was about $10 to have them test it and $12 for his dewormer.
Danny won’t let me handle him yet either. I’ve held him once or twice and it’s definitely not his favorite thing
As for the orange urate, I had a similar issue with my boy. Took him to the vet and turns out he had parasites! He’s finished his treatment and is doing better now :)
Your veiled looks great! Chameleons are so exciting and fulfilling reptiles to keep.
From what I understand the only possible “reasoning” they have for doing this is to try and lower the amount of invasive species. This is the only reason I could think of, but it still seems like so much of a stretch.
Things like red eared sliders, burmese pythons, and tegus can become...
My new crestie! Estimated about 5-6months. I believe it’s a female (as no testes are visible yet)
She doesn’t have a name yet but here’s some we considering:
Mercury
Sylvie
Fawn
Echo
Eowyn
Penny
