Veileds are naturally aggressive by nature. If you want a social cham, get a Jackson. I have 3, and 2 of them willingly climb on my hand/arm when I reach in their cage and whatnot. They never hiss or bite.
Jacksons rule! I have the same problem w/my Kiwi...brown in her cage (despite excellent husbandry) but green when out. She's about 5 - 6 months, and I believe it is something she will grow out of. I've actually started multiple threads here to try and figure it out but we just can't find a...
Bro she's def. prego. Female Jacksons retain sperm for multiple clutches, and it sounds like it's about that time. Question is, if it's the 3rd time around, wouldn't you be able to recognize it by now? And what do you do w/all the babies? I'm kinda jealous cuz I have a female xanth but it...
I purchased my Jacksons from a dude selling them out in front of Waipahu H.S. We were driving home from my son's soccer game one day and right before we got on the freeway, we saw a sign for $5 Jacksons. We thought it was too good to be true and ended up purchasing 3. We knew nothing about...
Will do...shouldn't be too hard to find more snails, on the right day I can collect up to 20-30 from our yard. I didn't feed too many of them, as I was trying to start a snail colony but I failed :-( Better luck next time, maybe?
So how do I catch flies? I'd rather just swat 'em first then...
Chameleon Info:
Your Chameleon - Male Jackson Chameleon, have had him for 4 months.

Feeding - Crickets (mostly give 'em oranges), some meal worms but he usually won't take. Have...
Sorry, was on a tablet earlier so couldn't answer all of these...
Since you live where they are now native. Is the chameleon wild caught? I was informed from the seller he was captive bred
Have you had a fecal done on them? What does his poo's look like? Haven't done a fecal...poo looks...
Love the pics Jdog! Awww man Jackson babies are just the cutest...totally wanna breed 'em if/when my guys/gal gets older!
By the way, is that the same cham in the last 2 pics (the 7 weeker and the 52 weeker)?
I have 3 jacksons...purchased them all at the same time, not realizing what I was getting myself into! Every cham is different, altho Jacksons won't bite or hiss. The males seem more open to handling than females, but you can always try tame them. Most will let you handfeed them which...
Okay, so the dumb@$$ who makes a thread about some idiotic questions like "why is my chameleon trying to mate with me" and supposedly pooing on him gets more replies than my post about my chameleon not eating? I'm pretty sure he's gonna starve himself to death and I've only had him for 4 months.
How do you manage to have chameleon for 8 months yet you don't even know what size crickets to feed??? No wonder it died. I'd say do some research before making the emotional decision to rush out and get a new one.
