Possible very bad Vitamin A deficiency. Please help

So this morning during his soaking he had another bowl movement. This one notably larger, but I did give him a ton of crickets last night. It had a weird milkyness to it you'll see in the attached pics. He's decently active today. He was doing great being completely mobile and when he ate a...

    Chameleon not growing

Make sure you're gutloading your feeders good. Try to get some phoenix worms to get that extra calcium for bone and other body developments. They usually go crazy for them.

Possible very bad Vitamin A deficiency. Please help

After trying to give him all kind of feeders, I finally went to get some crickets and sure enough he came back to life. I don't know what the deal is, but he seems to prefer crickets to dubia, lobsters, superworms, butterworms, and even sometimes phoenix worms. I'll change his light out tomorrow...

    When do Panthers stop growing?

Is there maybe an average length? I noticed my guy was eating like crazy at the beginning of December and has thus been eating alright at best. Wasn't sure if it's a growing thing or maybe I should have adjusted lighting for winter.

Does anyone know what the standard weights are for one year, 18 mths etc?

    I did it!

I've actually thought about getting a monitor down the road, but I would want to give it a nice big enclosure outside. With the dogs, cat, and ferret, I think there might be some complications. I've seen that one guy laying in his recliner with one on youtube. I don't know if I'll ever be that...

I know I was told to replace the Powersun with just a household bulb along with the reptisun. Currently I've turned the 10.0 off thinking it is indeed too much light. Do y'all think I should go with a house hold bulb and 10.0?

So it looks like Zeus is going back into his lethargic state. I think I will try to get him in for an ultrasound and blood work next week. I'll keep soaking him and trying to get him active, but with the cold coming back he seems to be doing poorly without being able to go outside.

    I did it!

I don't know how, and really don't know why for that matter, but in the last year I've been able to acquire all the herps that I never knew I wanted...before last year. I started with my super dalmatian and harlequin cresteds along with a Madagascar giant day gecko and a veiled. Since my...

Possible very bad Vitamin A deficiency. Please help

So Zeus has been off and on. Good days, and bad. Hopefully this cold will pass here, and I'll be able to keep him outside everyday. If I don't get a good improvement by next Wed. I'm taking him in for the ultrasound.

Thanks, I really appreciate that. The vet bills aren't cheap and the results can be inconclusive, but I feel as a good owner I have to give him every shot I can. Plus, the sentimental value way outweighs any vet bill. I've been soaking him every day in a dish with luke warm water. I've also...

    Phoenix Worms

Would a 11 month old panther eating on average 30 phoenix worms a day be ok? Is this too much calcium or too much dependency on the feeder?

Possible very bad Vitamin A deficiency. Please help

I guess it must have been an eye irritation or maybe just weird behavior due to his shed, but Zeus started doing much better today. He woke up moved and went back to sleep between 8-10. I then woke him back up with warm soak to help any more shed and hydrate him. After that he seemed very spry...

Also, I didn't get a blood test done due to so much stress already and the vet didn't think that it was too pertinent at the moment. Maybe will do Thursday when I go back. Also, I've been doing soaks every day for about 30 min to try to hydrate and help with the shed. Today he got most of the...

Possible very bad Vitamin A deficiency. Please help

Got in touch with the diagnostics lab, and got them to forward results to vet. I was able to get an emergency visit with my previous cham vet. The fecal came back normal. Only thing that showed was a very low parasite at 1 pin worm egg per gram of urate. Vet said it's nothing to be worried...

Possible very bad Vitamin A deficiency. Please help

Thank you so much Gabe. I called to see if I could get the vet that helped me with my last chameleon. He's in surgery, but I think he'll be able to have an emergency visit today. I tried calling the diagnostics lab, but got no response. Hopefully they'll call me back telling me they just forgot...

I've only heard the buzzing sound briefly once about a week ago. The hiccups haven't happened in quite some time. Thought it was important to mention. He has however been rubbing and bulging his eyes since I got him about 5 months ago.
