    Issues with Rescued Veiled

reptisun is perfect. We only reccomend that brand and Arcadia. It should be 8-9 inches from the bulb to the basking branch. Do you have the 22 inch one? This will put Felix at the right distance. As far as the fogger, I will not be any help. I do not use one. Where I am located typically stays...

I’m also looking at your set up, he could use some more vines/ branches. You can use ones you find outside as long as they are not from sap producing trees. Just wash with hot water and dawn and let dry and they are good to go.

Sanity check on new chameleon's daily routine

Even though he is only eating crickets, continue offering other feeders. Chameleons are like kids when it comes to new food. Sometimes it takes them a few tries to decide if they like it or not. I recommend dubiaroaches.com for other feeders like dubia and BSFL. They are awesome.

    Please help

So it’s not uncommon for them to ‘tuck themselves in’ for bed early. An hour or two before bedtime isn’t typically a cause for concern. But with the sunken eyes it may be cause for concern. Hopefully someone else will come along soon and help us out.

    Please help

Ok. Yea they still need the hydration, just do not spray them directly. Chameleons are dry shedders and getting them wet will make the shed stick. So still mist the cage, he will still need to drink. Hopefully it’s just dehydration or stress. I’m not an expert and I’m just going off of what I...

Ok. How often are you misting and how? Is it automatic or are you misting by hand?

    Please help

Ok I just went back through your other thread. Were you able to upgrade anything yet? The UVB is very important. Honestly it could be a number of things. Sunken eyes can happen from stress, sickness, dehydration, pretty much anything. Is this the first time you have noticed him at the bottom...

Hello! So the eyes sinking like that is not normal, and would not have anything to do with the shedding. Have you done a husbandry review?

Maybe he has something stuck in his eye? This happened to my guy once. I got some plain saline contact solution and dropped some in his eye and it seemed to help
