"Where's Waldo?"
Where is Waldo? A question that pops up often; when I look for him in his home as he tries his hardest to hide (and does a fine job most of the time), and something that I often question when I slowly see his growth and compare it to others of the same age. Where's is...
Its funny really, because before getting a chameleon I considered a dog, but I didnt want to spend the 300$ pet deposit for the house I am renting. 300$....way too much. and here I am sitting in my living room with a homemade chamelon cage that is 6' tall and 1000$ put into it...
So, the controller has been purchased as well as a dimming florescent light to go along with it. I'm assuming that the included temperature gauges should be enough, so I stalled to buy more.
Can't wait to get this in and set this thing up. Looks to be a really amazing piece of...
I lie, I have more questions when you find the time to answer.
To make it easier, I'll add the questions from above too
EDIT - Sorry, this was posted before I seen you responded to my last
1) Does the Eco Zone manage temperature and humidity by turning on the mister to reach relative...
I was just looking at buying this today.
I've been reading the site description, am I right about what this can do? It monitors the temperature in the cage and if too hot, dims/turns on/off lights to lower/raise the temperature? If the humidity is too low, turns the mister on to raise it...
Ive always been a big animal/pet lover, but just knowing that with good care and time this little guy is going to grow to have amazing colors and patterns, it just pushes me to love taking care of him so much more. I honestly cant wait till he reaches that time, but even though i know it will...
Pretty much what I assumed. Just tired of everybody asking why he doesnt change colors, why is he still so small. When will he get all the patterns and colors, etc. He eats well, he hydrates good. His poops are big, brown, white, and slimy. He's a cool light/neon green looking color. He...
Here's what I've been told, D3 twice a month, Multivitamins twice a month, and a sprinkle (not caked on) calcium every day, but not necessarily every feeder cricket.
So, what I do is rotate weekends, one saturday is a multi-v, the next saturday is D3, then the next a multi-v, and so on. and...
Finally got a Big Dripper hooked up to the cage, one tube running near his favorite chill spot in the UV area and one tube running near the suntan spot at the favorite basking area. Each with a slow constant drip with All day available water for drinking. yay!
though he didnt like the fact...
the bass only comes from the subwoofer, the surrounds arent quite as loud as the rest of the speakers. enclosure is located on the oppposite side of the room and havent noticed a bit of stress or fright from him during the movie. He sleeps right through it
Chams have very small holes for ears, practically naked to the human eye. They can't hear well, they listen to vibrations and tones and rely on sight to hunt. The dog wont be a problem unless it is at the cage frightening the Cham, barking or not.
I have a surround sound system that sounds...
i just assumed that there should be more of a variation, 85 degree, 80, degrees, 75 degrees, 70 degree. I guess if two temperatures are fine then I can stop worrying. That and Im sure that the bottom of the enclosure is cooler then 72 degrees.
is 72 outside of the basking spot a good temp...
I understand that there should be an assortment of temperatures in a chameleons enclosure. What should the differences be and whats the easiest way to achieve this? My house thermostat is set at 76 during the 100 degree part of the day and 78 during the 80 and below degree part of the day...
cage size? whats the bottom of the cage material? Just a suggestion sitting around my house, i have a glass top end table. Wood frame with smaller glass top that is removable, you could remove the glass top and sit the cage on top with a bucket underneath?
Ficus?
I just want to confirm this - a Ficus and Creeping Willow are the same thing, correct? There were stickers that were labeled both Creeping Willow and Ficus on the plant, I assumed it was the correct one to get (that everybody suggests using) Anyways, I potted it, watered it, covered...
