Have you tried anything other then crickets? I'm pretty grateful my guy loves crickets, but he will literally charge the other side of the cage for a hornworm or silkworm.
Maybe giving him some crazy colored creepy crawly will entice his appetite?
This guy is really starting to keep his blues, before he would fade them but now I'm not sure he can! It's really nice to see that shade of blue with his other lemon-limes and reds coming in :)
LOL I'm from Murphy and the fact that you said Wally World made me literally die laughing. My girlfriend came in the room to read the post and laughed too. It's all people do there, it's the mall :D
On a side note I got my 2' and 4' UVB light fixtures for 10 bucks each. Hibiscus for 19.99 and...
Haha yeah, just as Carol said we would all shoot for pick of the clutch :D
Take a close look at the Sire, and if possible try and see if your breeder knows either of the Grand-Sires. That would be your babies grandpas, seeing the Sires and Grand-Sires really help in determining what you're...
I'm going to try my luck at breeding silks soon, I'm moving here in a month just down the street. But a move is still a move, I'll be setting up some stuff in my new place though. More room and I've really read up on silk breeding. I think I have a lot of the good stuff together so hopefully...
I say you make some kind of agreement with the pet store, saying you'll buy him when they put up UV lighting. Not that hard, don't give them the money until they do it. Flash it of course
You know if you buy him they'll just pop another in that tank, and if you don't buy him he's...
So I read all the first post, trying to gather some info on maintaining a hibiscus in the enclosure with out over-lighting the chameleon.
So I have a two 4 month old female panthers coming in, I'll have the cages next to each other so I decided to buy a 48" duel tube fixture.
I'll have a...
Oh wow that does have a resemblance! That would be awesome if my guy kept a lot of white on him :) Thanks for having that picture it's cool to compare.
I know that the chameleon that Bruces assistant got was pretty hot too and he was this guys brother (Same clutch). So I don't know if I can say...
I have a thread right under yours named Skittles, I got him from Bruce at Chameleon Paradise! He's a Candy Cane baby, thats why I admired splashes white so much!
You have some beautiful chams, you should check out my guy. Bruce makes some nice chameleons :D
Checking out the lineage on Splash...
I took Skittles outside today, I like to make sure he gets some real sun light. Plus he looks so pretty when he's outside! :D 8/9/12 5 months old

He DOES NOT like my iPhone, I have it in a big black case and as you can see....Skittles is not a fan. 8/9/12 5 months...
Happy Birthday Carol! :)
You and Jann live pretty close, if you guys ever make it around Ben Siegels or Underground Reptiles down here in Deerfield Beach come check out the chams! (I got some special girlies coming in soon:cool:)
Hope you had fun today!
I can't believe they asked to buy another one from you.
"Maybe you can just, fix this one and sell me a baby later?"
Errr....NO.
This is one of the sides of being an animal breeder I'm not fond of, you know not 100% of your babies are going to get 100% care. All you can do it make sure...
I mean it may just be me, but think about what your trying to do. Keep an animal outside and tell him NOT to go to those giant trees he's been googly eyeing for weeks ya know?
Have you thought of maybe making some kind of cool giant walk in enclosure? that would be cool! Mini jungle...
Yeah I was reading your paragraph and it looked great....and then I read D3 dusting 4 days a week. I honestly don't even use calcium with D3, I make sure mine doesn't have any in it.
Luckily I'm in Florida so I can give my guy natural sunlight, I prefer that then hearing about a D3 overdose...
Little bugger WAITS until he knows I'm looking away from him and he makes his move! Darts to a part of the plant that had part of the branch torn (Kids have snapped one or two branches off) and just viciously gnaws on the end of it. I rush in and grab him up looking like a doof yelling "AHH...
Everyone has had the right idea, set up your cage first. Figure out the temperature first. I had to buy a smaller wattage bulb because the first one temped in the 90's for my baby panther with the heat gun. That's a bit to hot for a baby and as stated above they are sensitive creatures.
It...
I currently dust in the same as a few mentioned "Dixie cup Shake n' Bake". However I plan to make some kind of contraption like the cricket shaker Dr. O posted.
It looks perfect but I feel like it would be hard to get crickets for 5-6 animals in there. I'm not sure on how big that one is, but...
