May I ask how big your lamp is? I had a flukers' 5 inch fixture, with a 60 watt bulb and upped it to a Zoomed 8.5 inch dome with the same 60 watt bulb and it had a much more dramatic effect...
Hi guys, sorry I haven't posted for a while, Sebastian is doing fine. Sebastian went through a small phase of being unfriendly (for about 2 weeks) but he's back to normal.
Anyhow, for those of you who use Zoomed bulbs ( I use the 60 watt daylight ones - I just like the way they shine)...
I't is recommended that once you get a chameleon in a new enclosure you should let them settle in atleast a week, so they have time to explore and feel safe.
As for hand feeding, try to hand feed something he doesn't usually get, like Horn (tomato) worms, silkworms, superworms, etc.
Not sure if calcium tablets are okay. Here in Orange County, I drove to almost every petstore to try to find Rep-Cal's Calcium without D3, litterally it took me hours. I ended up ordering from LLL and although the email you get says you'll get it within 7 to 10 business days, I recieved mine...
Silkworms will die if refrigerated. IMO crickets are the easiest to feed, if you don't want crickets, and you want something that could be refrigerated, try Butterworms that Gesang sells.
It's sad. I heard that if you make a video for those companies, and they approve it, they get money and it could go up to the thousands.
This lady might be a paid chameleon assasin =O
