I saw Steve, Kent, Ryan and his wife, Marty, Kevin and his wife, Chad, the Nozakis. I almost bought a Mellers but still spent more than $100 somehow lol.
For me it took alot of patience and alot of time sitting next to the cage and showing Sebastian that im friendly. LOT'S OF TIME.
This is what I do when he's been outside long enough.

He might have a splinter or cut or even a bug bite there. The problem with free ranging food inside an enclosure is that sometimes the bugs can attack while your cham sleeps for his/her 12 hour sleeps.
Becareful of those Exoterra Incubators. Though I have one and it works great, the temperature is notoriously off on those things. You can remedy that by going to Walmart and getting a digital thermometer and putting it INSIDE the incubator.
Im pretty sure babies don't have bulges, BUT, they have alittle bit of extra width as well as skin, to prepare for the bulge. Also from what I've noticed from my baby chams, the females tail's seem to stay almost the same length from vent to the tapered tail. Males have more like a 'cone'...
From what I hear, and this is strictly from what I HEAR, Female Mellers' are alot bigger and males tend to do that thing where their "mating tool" comes out and just hangs there for a bit, just like panthers.
So after exactly 9 months and some odd days, the babies decided to come out. There was one that hatched out 4 weeks ago ahead of the clutch (May 26, 2011) and we think he may be a hold back. He is showing colors in the sun but I can't take quality pics with my blackberry so here are pictures...
Ya, these guys bite, and they bite hard. They also fight, viciously. I let two free range in Sebastian's cage (two females), they were climbing up the sidewall when they saw eachother and started violently shaking their bodies. One bit the other ones head and suplexed it (okay maybe didn't...
The Girl Who Was Jealous of the Chameleon
There Once was a girl
Who was Jealous as can be
Of a chameleon she received
At the young age of three
Mr. Chameleon
Oh how do you climb
With such magnificent grace
Why can’t it be mine?
And How come your tongue
is two times your length...
He does this because he grew up being hand fed and for the most part, only hand fed. This is my speculation because Sebastian used to do that, but now that I free roam crickets in his cage, he has stopped.
It's definately not perlite. It's funny because I saw an episode of Bizzare foods with Andrew Zimmern and he had snail Caviar. Perlite is "crispy" when you crush it with your fingers, this is more, uhhh, plump and alittle juicy (not that I tasted them lol). Nonetheless I took them out of my...
