I actually have been reading that site already.
I bought the book about panthers from the book store on this website about 6 months ago and read it cover to cover, but my girlfriend wanted me to get a Veiled. Since she will be caring for it when I'm out of town I got it.
Veileds have...
I finally got myself a Chameleon at the SC reptile show last week.
Got a sub-adult male Veiled from Chris at FLChams:
He had his first molt yesterday and has been searching around his enclosure for errant pieces of skin today.
I have him in a screen enclosure I made myself for...
I'm used to this type of a setup because most of the forums I visit are automotive. We have threads like "Post a picture of your engine bay" or "post a picture of your wheels". We usually try to keep responses on threads like this to a minimum as the point of the thread is to have a lot of...
Not really Cham related:
My girlfriend's selling her aquarium We used it for about a year and it's in Like new condition. She actually cleaned it up and put the factory labels back in it:
If Anyone is interested you can hit me up on AIM (SeanS13Hatchback) or call my cell anytime...
Wow. Had an awesome time today. Saw a lot of chameleons.
Tons of wild caught jacksons (inexpensive and unhealthy looking generally)
A few vendors had proper enclosures but FL Chams was the clear winner for "Best in Show"
Someone had a pair of almost adult mellers for $100 each, they...
bump.
See you guys tomorrow! I'll be driving up from Charlotte with my girlfriend some time in the morning.
Hope there's enough stuff to keep me occupied long enough to be worth the drive!
How about if you had a bud napper and you made a "bug quarantine" 10 gallon aquarium, you could put some gut load food in it and let them sit for a few days.
I found some pretty good info here:

My Panther book talks alot about places that Panthers are observed in the wild, but it dosen't talk much about what plants they are seen on specifically.
Is there a list of plants commonly available that are native to Madagascar? I think it would be cool to have native environment plants in your Chaim's enclosure.
My girlfriend picked up a "Madagascar Dragon Tree" from Lowe's in Charlotte this weekend.
I wonder what sort of trees are...
Got thinner spline and a wider tool today, finished up my practice project a lot easer.
I'll post pics after I find my camera cable, it's basically a screen extension for a 10 gallon aquarium, I put a few plants and an anole from the back yard into it.
haha, not really doing it for the money savings. I like learning how to do new things. I figure I could apply whatever I learn now later. DIY screening seems to be a useful household skill.
Yeah, I'm thinking the kit I bought was made for fiberglass. I'll get some thinner stuff to do the two...
Either this guy makes it look easy OR he makes me look stupid. I'm guessing it's probably a bit of both.

I got a DIY screen window replacement kit to tool around with before I actually make my Chameleon cage (I'm making a topper for a 10G...
Mantids are my favorite insects. I was a poor kid and would keep them for pets. In Indiana they would live well into the cold months when kept indoors.
I'm pretty sure that baby mantises need to eat aphids or ants. I don't see how this could be easy to do in captivity.
Mantids are super...
Read a bit about them already. They eat decaying wood in the forests from what I understand. I wouldn't see them getting out of cover, they seem like they would be easy prey for birds.
If they ate a lot of grasshopper type animals would the not be basically "guy loaded" with vegetation...
Has anyone studied what insects specifically are available to panther chameleons in the wild? I have my panther book and it goes into some detail about prey preference between grasshoppers and crickets. I'm pretty sure that the study determined that the chameleons would basically alternate...
