Question though, I heard there should be some blocking so he doesn't see you as they get frightened and stress when they see you walk by. That is the only reason why I put all those plants but I guess I should take some of it out huh..
Great questions. So from what I know he is 7-8 months when I picked him up from our local pet shop. I did not have him when he was small so I don't have his exact birth date. He is brand new to him (a little over 3 weeks now). I have the reptisun 5.0 and just yesterday evening added an...
He is around 7-8 months old. The problem is I waive the crickets in front of him and he does not seem much interested. Do I need a 60 watt bulb for my enclosure or a 75? I put the 75 and it was very hot so I took it out.
So my Jackson Chameleon lately has been spending a lot of time at the bottom of the cage. I picked him up a few times and his body is very cold. Not sure why he is avoiding the hotter temps up above where the basking light is and he also doesn't seem to move much. He is very sedentary. He also...
Considering that they are safe, would one recommend getting a Zoo Med Mini Deep Dome Lamp Fixture? Adding a basking lamp and a compact UV lamp?

He's the only one.. he is very docile and allows me to hold him however I try to never hold him. I try to think of keeping him similar to that of keeping a fish. Just for pure display.
Thanks to the wonderful advice I received on this forum is the reason why he is so happy :)
Yes it is a 50 watt Zoo Med Repti Halogen basking lamp. Not sure if it is too far from the cage but it is generating good heat.
Thanks! I'm trying to do all I can to ensure he remains happy in his habitat! :)
Hi all,
Thanks for all the advice you gave last week. I did a massive overhaul to the cage. I added a drainage system, better lighting and way more foliage. Check out the new pix and let me know:

And when you do sprinkle the powder that once or twice a month, do you sprinkle it on all your feeders or just 1 of them. I just want to be sure I don't overdo and give him too much.
I gutload the feeders with the following products mixing them in a bowl. Let me know if this is sufficient:
Zilla Gut Load Cricket & Insect Food - 4 oz
Fluker's 12 oz Orange Cube Complete Cricket Diet
R'Zilla 11823 Gut Load Cricket Drink with Calcium, 16-Ounce Bottle
Nature Zone Cricket...
