    Chameleon Noise - Concern?

It was loud enough that I heard it while on a conference call. In the video it is fairly quiet compared to what it sounded like IRL.

    Chameleon Noise - Concern?

He definitely does not like it when I get close to the cage, but he was making this noise before I got the camera so I know it was not a result of me. He is getting more used to me every day and no longer retreats when I put crickets in the cage. I have already posted the help form before so...

    Chameleon Noise - Concern?

1/2" cricket and he ate about 3 of them in 5 minutes. Maybe he just ate too fast?

    Chameleon Noise - Concern?

Gizmo started making an audible sound after eating and I thought he may be choking or something. In the time it took You Tube to parse the video it has stopped, but should I be concerned? Here is the video:

    Temp Readings

I have decieded to use the zootherm (white probe) as the basking spot thermometer and the black probe as an ambient/humidity gauge. I am also ordering an infrared temp gun in the very near future.

    Drainage

LLL Reptile has cage trays that your cage can sit in and they can be modified to add a drain to one side. I remember seeing a post on modifying them here and I have done so for mine. If you would like to see a pic let me know an I can upload.

    Temp Readings

I have three thermometers in my large enclosure measuring the basking spot and I get three different readings. Does anyone have any knowledge of the difference in actual temperature to the digital readout on the Exo Terra combination temp/humidity? It has a remote probe that is placed in...

    Egg Cartons?!?

I recently got some from Enasco. They are a teaching supply company. One package of the egg crates runs about $15 and there are 70 egg flats in that package. Egg Crates - Click Here

    Feeding times?

I use a small bird seed cup. The wire hangers fit right through the screen without damage and it will hold about 10 crickets 1/2" size without issue. A few jump out but not many. They cost about $1 at any pet mega-mart. The one in the picture is about 2 inches deep and I place it on the...

    Panther Home

I am working on setting up an adult sized enclosure for when my panther is big enough. Any tips on getting more light to the bottom or is it OK for it to be fairly dark? I have an umbrella plant and a pothos that will be going in there on two different height stands as well. In the picture...

    Stressed??

Well since he is only 4 months old and very small I would hope it is not a gravid female. I know it is hard to determine size from the pictures but I went back and looked through old emails and on March 23rd he was approximately 3 months old so he may not even be 4 months yet.

    Stressed??

Thanks camshaft. I am hoping that the brown without the bars and stripe are his "happy" colors for his age as well. When he gets really mad (like when I try to offer him food from my hand" he gets little red dots everywhere. I just want to make sure he has the best possible environment and...

    Stressed??

Do these new pictures shed any light on the sex? I am pretty sure it is a male but now you have me thinking.

    Stressed??

Sex and Calcium I will get some calcium without D3 and do that. How many times per week is suggested? I was told male and that is what I paid for so I hope that is what he is. Gizmo is not as good of a name for a female and I really do not want to look for the egg hassles at this point...

    Stressed??

This is my first post and my second chameleon. I had a veiled chameleon about 10 years ago and now I have an Ambanja Panther and I am wondering if he my be stressed for some reason as he is always displaying dark colors as seen in the picture: He will turn very light white and green when...
