I've been using rainbow mealworms for my crickets they have been good so far.

They take a bit to adjust to a new enclosure, give it a few weeks and should be back to normal.

I agree the color is a little off, may be the lighting but all the fertile eggs Ive hatched have been white. You'll know if they go bad they mold quickly.

Roaches are my preferred feeder, got a few varieties and they are amazingly simple to breed and keep happy without the stink of crickets. I do keep crickets but just small ones for my babies.
