Finished my enclosure for our first panther chameleon

Cool enclosure build, I would add more horizontal perching options in the top 1/3 of cage though. Really like the overall look you have going luckily Cham will call that palace home!

    building trust and a relationship

Handfeeding is the first step and it just takes patience, and more patience... with some even more patience. With panthers I've found they tend to mellow out a bit around the 1 yr mark or so. When they get motivate to find a mate and want to walk around a lot you can leave the door open and let...

    Panther Male or Female?

Male. Like Matt said if that sheds stuck around the tail and not just a patch you should remove it, mist him good and that will loosen it up first.

    Egg status opinions

I agree the color is a little off, may be the lighting but all the fertile eggs Ive hatched have been white. You'll know if they go bad they mold quickly.

I bought the pure one of amazon and it's very nice but not ideal bc you can't use a timer with it due to the digital switch, it must be manually turned on and off.

Practical Experience With Panther Chameleons and Dogs in same household?

I haven't had any issues I keep my dogs out the room with most of my chameleons but we have a male panther that is in a public area and the dogs (including a sighthound) don't seem to notice him much and he doesn't show any stress reactions to them. That said they are not at eye level and his...

    Locust breeding (pictures)

Roaches are my preferred feeder, got a few varieties and they are amazingly simple to breed and keep happy without the stink of crickets. I do keep crickets but just small ones for my babies.
