Babies are known to screen climb. I would recommend raising your lights above the screen to prevent the baby from getting burned. He’s not trying to get more UVB, he’s just exploring. How many inches is your highest branch from the top of the cage?
Perfect, i was talking about the basking temp particularly, 80-85 is a big difference for a little baby. As said, it’s good to have that range so the cham can decide what temp it wants. If you feel it gets to hot, lower wattage or raise lights higher.
I took a break from the forums but i’m back now. Spike is still doing great and still friendly. He’s still on the small side but i love him so much and he’s doing great.
To add onto this, most of the time I just catch them and put them back outside or in the grass. In Texas we have lots of wild spiders where i live. I just get a plate and scoop him on there and put them outside. It’s not that big of a deal. Like you said they just want to survive and they don’t...
Any that aren’t recommended really. It’s just a topic that i wonder about. There’s no way to prevent it in the wild, so what happens? They become sick i know that, but there’s no treatment when their in the wild.
