    Is this mouth rot?

I have to disagree, it looks like there is the start or the end of something going on. It certainly isn't bad and looks like pieces are healing but I would attempt to remove everything yellow that you see and keep an eye on him. If it starts to come back then you will most likely need some meds...

Wife wants a Nosy, I want an Ambilobe

I have to vote one of each as well if that is an option. You won't be 100% satisfied if you don't and will most likely end up with one of each anyway hahaha. I personally love Nosy Be's but it is hard to get over the amazing colors that the Ambilobes can produce. As for the Nosy Be colors...

Nosy Be Panther Chameleon Male – Sire: Frozen

Nosy Be Panther Chameleon Male from Frozen This beautiful blue boy from our beloved Frozen is ready to find his new forever home. He is developing some great natural Nosy Be coloration with his intense blues and shades of light green. His deep blue bars fade into some lighter greens which makes...

    Chameleon's Head

I don't believe you have a problem at all. That coloration is typical for a male Veiled to develop and it will keep changing as he matures. I would suggest getting a larger cage as he seems to have outgrown that cage and really needs more room now.

    Is it safe?

I think you will be fine with almost any Orchid. Also, panthers don't typically eat any of the foliage so you shouldn't have any issues even if the plant isn't the best for digestion.

    boy or girl?

Too young to tell. You will have to wait a few months.

My Cham is afraid of his Mist King

Yes, I think this is the number one problem with glass cages. You might be able to make a false bottom and have a little pump run to drain the tank as the other pump runs to mist it. I have that exact setup on my large dart frog setup and it works perfect.

My Cham is afraid of his Mist King

@broderp Thanks for the awesome diagram! I didn't see this earlier as I would have still suggested a longer misting cycle. The 15 seconds gets him water and gets the plants water which solves those issues but what it doesn't do it give him enough time for any general hygiene. When mistings are...

    Petco and chams

I think everyone understands your situation and how each store is different but you have to look well past that one store and those few employees how might have it somewhat right. It is the Petco corporation that is the problem and their lack of any accountability or care for their animals. If...

    Petco and chams

I'm glad to hear that you are doing your part to help change your store and provide the chameleons with their needs to survive. Unfortunately, the company you work for isn't. The simple fact that you still have them in glass tanks which I'm sure corporate wouldn't allow you to change, shows...

    foaming at the mouth

Sounds like an upper respiratory infection. I would pay attention to see if he is puffing out his throat, making popping or wheezing sounds when breathing or more foam in the mouth. If you see any of these items I would get him to the vet right away as he will need medication and URI's can...

    Petco and chams

I agree, please consider getting your chameleon from a breeder. Supporting Petco isn't helping any of the breeders who are really working hard to offer these captive born animals and you are going to get an unhealthy chameleon 9 out of 10 times when going to a large pet store like that. I don't...

My Cham is afraid of his Mist King

@broderp This is very common especially with younger panthers as they want to get out of the water. I would see if you can't knock it down to one nozzle and double the misting duration as he should really have at a min 30 seconds. If you can aim the nozzle to not spray the basking area that...
