i could of gotten a baby when i was looking from my friend, but with being a novice care taker i opted for one a bit older. I may have never had a Chameleon, but was a vet assitant and going to vet tech school, so i have a working knowledge of the inner workings of the animal body which has...
I'm lucky mine will drink in front of me, has since I brought her home. She even will catch the spray in her mouth when I'm spraying manually. I know with her mister/fogger system now she is totally getting hydration.
Lol funny little cutie!!! Mine does that, heck she will totally stand on her back legs and stretch out to get a cricket. Love these animals they have such great personalities!!!
I think my next friend is gonna be a boy chameleon. I love those colors and less stress over the egg laying added bonus.
My gal is doing good, she just is a really private girl, so if privacy is what she wants, that's what queen Kharma gets. Lol.
Kharma is all done shedding, been i have been busy, and is back to her spunky self. I have been giving her way more privacy as even with me just sitting and knitting i guess she thought i was always watching. Oh well, she's a private girl that's cool, as long as she happy.
Gonna make a room...
Yup exactly my point about the fact that the infrastructure is questionable anymore. Water test is a great idea. They have those test kits at home depot and Lowe's. Easy enough to do.
I just use bottled because the water quality in usa really has a lot to be desired. Way to much chlorine in it, ugh and with all the old pipes in our infrastructure I just don't trust it.
If I wouldn't drink it then it's not good enough for my animals..
Yes all times, just showing it is there. And checking the moisture of it as well. Also, not misting her, some gets on her when I do and she actually enjoys a bit of light water as she will catch in mouth and drink when doing it.
I get that, but it's like she paused and is finishing up. Hubby witnessed the first shed and he said she did the same thing last time. As she was upstairs, me downstairs with broken ankle. So apparently this is her MO, I am keeping a close watch on her to make sure there are no issues.
Cool, it's going on second week. Actually since been misting more it looks like it's progressing since this morning. It's all good, and nope not a problem.
Was just nice to actually figure out why so wonky. It's odd cause for most of last week, normal, then bam again.
