Well I'm not sure if we are talking about the same fertalizer pellets but on Thanksgiving I had Victoria with me at a friends that has Pothos all over her house vine linked from one to another. Well Victoria got one of those pellets and holy cow did I freak. First the white BB sized pellets...
For the next one use Rep-Cal Multi-Vit. It uses only Beta Carotene that is converted into Vitamin A by your chameleon.
Rep-Cal Herptivite Multivitamin
In fact use all...
Schedule Multi, Calcium with D3 fine power, and Calcium no D3 on different days.
The Original Powder with D3 is...
No, I have seen alot of recommended basking temps here on the forums by senior members and on ZooMed Care sheets that recommend 99 for the basking spot. She does not gape much at all and not even on a daily bases.
Saw the pics of your enclosure in your gallery. What I see is a 1 sided Screen door I believe while the rest is white board. I would give the left side of that either a whole cutout and place scren or some windows covered with screen.
I might be the feeling of being enclosed by the obvious...
What is the Basking and cooler area temps in your enclosure?
My basking is 98.6 degrees while her enviorment area is 86.7 and the lower area of her enclosure is basiclly room tempature around 76 to 80 degrees.
When he is in his cage does he go back to his lighting and bask, turns dark?
If so he is turing dark to capture light rays to heat his body up.. The Darkness absorbe heat better then bright colors.. When they get hot they will change back to their brighter colors.
Also Victoria turns...
Note: Beta Carotene is a natural way for your cham to produce its own Vitamin A. This ensures that you cannont over due it.
The only company that I know of that uses this instead of Vitamin A Base is Rep-Cal and they use it in their Multi-Vitamin Powder.
Though people are against wild caught flies I do feed my wild ones.. The concern is that you don't know where the fly has been.. But in the wild this would be the same problem becasue they could have been off a dead animal, dung, high moisterized fungus, etc in the first place. Personally I...
Well the tounge shooting out is indeed a sign that food is of interest. The blind in one eye does eliminate her ability to see depth.
How does she do with food in front of her?
Are you cup feeding her or loose live feeding?
Some do like their masters. Victoria loves to have her chin rubbed down her spikes and even attempts to grab ahold of my arm when I have my hand in the cage doing something. She gets moved daily and does not mind the attention. But 90% of her day is basking or hunting food down.
Leopard Gecko would be my guess. Young too it looks like. Tail is still slender. Morph version? I would have no idea what color class (morph) he would be called.
Best thing to do is set the slope.. Put about 1/4 cup of water in the tray and let it settle at the bottom corner where you what the water to drain out. Reference where the water is once its settles, pull the tray out and drill a hole or even a couple holes before the rim so that water should...
Like DD mentioned. Drain slope is not very steep any how a 1/2 foot per second based on your enclosure size is pretty much raising one corner of your tray about 3/4 of and inch up. Even 1/2 inch up is about 3/8 of a foot per second drain slope. Which is enough slope by standards to be used as...
Well when you get home and if you can make time before offer a treat like a silkworm or superworm. Once he know you are the keeper of tasty snacks he might just mellow out and greet you each time you come in knowing he might get a tasty treat.
Perhaps it just that. Also caould be height of cage above eye level. She sees you and figures if she does not watch you then she will be food. Over time I think she will get use to your presence but it may be a good idea to put up a curtin or move her to a less traffic location in the house.
