Happy Holidays, you gotta love chameleon owners.

I came across this out and about town last night and was pretty amused and thought I would share it. Its nice to know there are other chameleon freaks in this city.

Build this sweet cage for $200 for with everything from home depot.

I used the screws not the rivets so they can be assembled and reassembled time and time again. I used the following sizes of screws and drill bits, you most definately want to drill pilot holes first. To hold the frame together I used #10 x 3/4 screws and a 9/64 drill bit for pilot holes. For...

    Chameleon in declining health

I apologize for any distress caused by mentioning the kocci free, the chances of them finding it are fairly slim. Most shops carry only a select few of their products and the Kocci free is rarely one of them. The shops around here stopped carrying Amber's stuff altogether. So for anyone reading...

    First cage

you can get a hole drilled in the bottom of your fish tank and any half decent aquarium shop, as long as its not a "tempered bottom" then its as simple as a rubber plug to drain when you need it. Vinyl block moulding/baseboard you can get in 1x2 or 2x2 posts which makes a great mold free...

    ok, I dunno what happend

Dont give up on him yet, chams kind of shutdown when they are really hurting. I took 5 days of work to nurse day and night a little female panther everyone told me was a goner including the vet, this was due to a bunch of plastic vine she had ingested, became compacted and was pushing up against...

    Chameleon in declining health

If she is as bad as she sounds I would recommend trying "Reptaid" distributed by "Northwest Chameleons". Please dont confuse this with Fluker's "Reptiaid" which is just a type of nutritional supplement. "Reptaid" is a herbal remedy for parasites, bacterial, and viral infections and I have heard...

Another ass't box mystery, any guesses on the locale of this little fella ?

They are ordered from a wholesale distributor who lists them as ass't sometimes they offer both assorted and specific locales sometimes its just one or the other. The lists change week to week and are faxed to the retailers, a lot of the time there are no chameleons available whatsoever...

Another ass't box mystery, any guesses on the locale of this little fella ?

I got this little guy out of an ass't box of panthers about 4 months ago. I estimate his age to be about 6 months now as he was about 1.5 inches snout to vent when I got him, the whole lot were incredibly tiny and I was nervous about purchasing one. But I cant help myself with ass't boxes, they...

    International Shipping...

If you want to ship chameleons internationally you need something called a CITES permit on both the shipping and recieving end. Chameleons are a CITES classified animal appendix 1 I believe.

    Compact VS Tube

Sorry I just reread my post and it is misleading, The petshop is using the Exo-Terra(Hagen) brand compact flourescents on all his cages not the mercury vapour. Its a place called RiverFront Aquariums here in Calgary, Canada.

    Compact VS Tube

I had used The exo terra bulbs on two babies for over 8 months before I had read the warnings about compacts, at times they would sit and bask within inches of the bulb for extended periods of time. When I did read the warning I was horrified and quickly changed to mercury vapour, they were both...

    Wow, beautiful females

Females are way underrated, especially with the colors I am seeing on some these days. Strangely my females are way more trusting and sociable than my males. Thats a nice looking healthy pair of ladies you have there, good work.
