Switch to without d3 for everyday dusting, too much d3 can cause health issues. If he is only a few months old then he can probably eat more than the 4 crickets and 4 worms, mine is 6 months old and eats at least 8 worms of varying types and about 6 crickets. If he is underweight then let him eat.
If you notice it getting too cold at night then use a ceramic heat emitter, not a light bulb since chameleons can see color, that would disrupt the sleep pattern. It is super easy to put the lights on a timer, 12 hours on and 12 off. It is best to cup feed them at first while they are getting...
I think that she will be ok until you move, but make sure you are ready to switch her out quickly after the move, and I would also make some adjustments to the current set up, at least getting her some more branches/vines to walk on to get her higher off the ground and closer to the lights, and...
I currently have a double dome hood where both bulbs are UVB and another single hood that is a heat lamp, or you can get a long skinny hood that fits the whole top of your cage for the UVB and then a dome for the heat.
I see quite a few things that need to be changed. Have you read the caresheet on this site for veileds? If not, then go NOW! She needs to be able to get closer to her heat light and I don't see a UVB light at all which is extremely important and all glass cages are not great for chameleons it...
Post more pics of the set up so we can give better advice, but definitely need more branches and I would ditch the substrate. I would also look at the health forum and fill out the questionnaire on how to ask for help so that we can see details about the set up and husbandry to be able to give...
Most people advise against using a substrate because the cham might pick it up when snatching up food or just may decide to eat it and that can cause health issues. Most people will cover at least a couple sides with plexiglass or with plastic like a shower curtain to help hold in the humidity...
You should definitely add a lot more vines/dowels and even more of the plants wrapping around the walkways for more hiding and getting away from the heat spots. Also, I would double check the basking temp, that seems like it might be high, but I have a panther.
That size sounds good for his first cage. As for the feeding thing, every cham is different. Mine is mainly cup fed, but the crickets also escape the cup and so he also hunts. He has never seen me as a threat and has always loved to be handled, but they vary. I don't know that they make the...
The bulb wattage needed varies for everybody. It really depends on the temps that the room is in general and then you go from there to make sure the basking area is reaching the right temp and then it varies down throughout the cage. My lights are just sitting on top of the cage and have not...
Mealworms can be hard for them to digest so go easy with those. Hornworms and butterworms are also good ones to have, I use superworms on occasion as well as roaches.
