Yeah, I will certainly add more fake branches and fake leaves, wanted to already as a matter of fact, but the shop run out of both so gotta wait for the restock.
The rightmost one is new, couldn’t find a deep dome so it’s just on a tall stand. The temperature under it is 25 celsius so 77 fahrenheit. The basking lamp is on the left and there’s a fake branch leading up to his basking spot and the UVB one is in the middle.
So about the new light I got, my chameleon is under it almost all the time, which is okay if he likes it that much, but he is ignoring the basking spot completely (since I got this daylight bulb) which is important for normal digestion and that’s kind of worrying me. I mean I know he’s not...
@Rst_Cham after setting up the new 6500K 13W daylight bulb I noticed that my cham likes to be under it so I guess that was a good addition. Thanks again!
Sorry to hear that, but I’m glad he’s over it and doing great now by the looks of your picture. Also thanks for the warning not to turn it on at night. Usually the readings are 25-35% but it’s pretty close to the basking spot so that isn’t accurate (so probably add 15-20% to that). I mist the...
That’s a panther, right? You have a mister turned on in the night, is it good for humidity? I just got a fogger and was wondering if someone could help me with the optimal timers for it to be on. I’m not sure about keeping it on at night cause it can’t really dry and I’m scared that my boy might...
I’ve got a screen cage and humidity drops to like 35-40% without misting which I’ve read is low for a panther chameleon. So I have to mist it and I cover the soil when I’m misting.
Also there are white stains on the leaves which are dried minerals from the water. Does that mean the water is too chemically modified for a chameleon to drink? I‘m using the tap water because it’s safe for drinking where I’m from.
Yeah I would do that, but I don’t have anything else to replace it atm. I started putting a plastic bag over the soil when I’m misting, but the water sometimes slips put and falls in the soil again... and the water can’t evaporate (don’t know if this is the right term) out of the soil in the air...
I mist my cham usually 4 times a day and with that the schefflera arboricola plant gets overwatered and the leaves have started to drop. The plant is just not doing well which is worrying me because it’s the main object in the cage. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to save the plant?
