I have seen them trying to climb on the trees in the background a few times. Which honestly made me sad a little. They are excellent backgrounds though. I’ll be doing all my enclosures with them eventually.

I did a photo background from pet backdrops with the two sides white. I really like it because the white sides reflects the light very well and the forest pic in the background gives it a little visual interest.

Don’t beat yourself up. My boy is on a diet now too cuz he got a little too pudgy and I didn’t realize. It’s an easy thing to oversee since you look at them daily. Just do what you can now :)

I’ve been using Govee smart plugs or the Kasa smart power strip. Both connect with WiFi and Bluetooth. I have my phone and iPad set up to these and they both seem to ‘remember’ their schedule if the power goes out or WiFi goes out. Maybe the Bluetooth option will work for you too? Just a...
