Thx bifidus. Do the newborns take flies right away? Can you give us any supportive care info on how you take care of the very young?

    Sorry about Winter up there!

What size are your cages? They look about 18" cubes? Also, what is your favorite feeders rotation? I'm finding they love flies. Both Hydei and blue bottles. They practically launch across cages at blue bottles. I am having trouble w getting right size for crix. They also have taken very small...

    Spring babies

Will add more. I do like to be able to find them every once in awhile. (Can you ever have enough?) I am guessing humidity is a key overlooked factor as well. This is why I got these species as I think I may live where it's very close to their native environment. I try to keep all species from...

    Sorry about Winter up there!

They are under a porch roof, but outside. I have them on rolling carts and roll them out under the sun in good weather. Didn't want them permanently outside as they would get swamped in rainy season. I have about 3-4 crossing manzanita branches and 4 thin reptology vines in each box. They blend...

    Spring babies

Thx Alex. I have pair each of pumilum and transvaals. They are outside 24/7 in south Florida. Now about 6 Mon old and looking great. I keep each pair together and they seem to love it that way, thus my question. When spring is in the air, spring will be in the air! Dave

    Spring babies

I hope. I don't think many (or any) in the US have had live born to relay much experience with raising Bradypodian newborn. With much hope, I would like to hear from Europe or those here(if there is anybody) any advice on getting them going just in case. It would be mind boggling if it happened...

    feeding cup ideas

They don't seem to fall. They crawl up screens and onto vines and other cage items. I don't really know why, but they seem to always crawl up, not down. I also entwine some in my vines which makes them easier to remove and clean.

    feeding cup ideas

Buy a reusable coffee filter (the ones with plastic mesh) and tie through the screen at desired height with fishing line. Works great, cleans easily, very durable, and about $2

    Mistking

That's the great thing w Mistking. Gives nice concentrated fine spray and stays in cage. I don't hardly use a dripper anymore, but again I live in 80+%. Humidity year-round.

    Mistking

A single nozzle in my experience covers about a 12" spray width. I use a double nozzle to cover my 2x2x4 enclosure. You might also add a 3rd nozzle if you live somewhere more dry.(I live in SW Florida) or a rain dome on top of cage in lieu of a dripper. Just remember shipping for these is...

    Spray Paint

I use Krylon in my enclosures all the time. The solvents evaporate fully in less than 24 hrs. It will be perfectly fine to use. Your Dad did a great job including using the right paint! See old thread here: https://www.chameleonforums.com/showthread.php?t=96562

    Mistking

Here is the double nozzle: http://www.mistking.com/Value-L-Double-Misting-Nozzle-Assembly.html You should also get a "T" fitting here as u can't find them locally very easily http://www.mistking.com/Value-tee-connector-14.html

    Mistking

Stick w starter. You don't really need more unless you are doing more than 3or4 enclosures. Spent the $$ on a double nozzle then you have the option of doing 1-3 nozzles w your purchase for only a few extra dollars.

New planted vivarium / Great stuff

Have you thought of pygmies instead? This would be perfect for them. I agree w other post, kinda small for others, besides pygs work well as a group.
