These are some pretty Sweet Chams though! The lack of availability and the difficulty, of keeping and breeding them draws certain justice to the price! As It would be very unfavorable to the animal if the price was lower with just anyone thinking they were cool, could pick them up for Say, $50...
Well, thanks Nick! Its already fullproof I have allot nicer one setup in one of my freeranges. But for demonstration purpose, this was easier to post working pictures. I set this up quicky for a tutorial and to get the Idea out there for those that need and could use this application, as to...
This guy had a female Parsoni, for sale on Kingskake a week or so ago He may still have it. It was going for $2,000. But look close Its young and to me it looks like it leans to a Male?
Cant hurt to ask him if its still available, These Ive been watching. Came in Captive born from Indonesia...
I'd Say his own scheduling is fine. If he awakes earlier than lights on, this is possibly why he curls up earlier in the evening. I have one Mellers that is always up before the sun, and always to bed early, like around 4 to 6 pm here, Thats just the way he is? An earlybird.
Makes me laugh...
LBonowitz. Glad you bring this up. I checked in on this post to see how the Cham faired. Sad to say it didnt.
And yes It was I that said Vasaline. Hmm, funny I must be the only Cham owner that has had this happen and It lived. This was (many, many years ago) and My Chameleon not only survived...
Contest rules say it all: Real Chameleons in real environmental settings. Nothing wrong with that. this is what all this is about, NOTHING FAKE. Just real Chams in real settings! :)
I would set this all up on top the cage. that level of pump cant pump up to far. The nozzle I got at a pet store. but may not be needed. you just dont want to fill the drip cup in less than the minimum timer setting of one minute. or you will have overflow. so the control valve will control all...
Well figure out how many cup fillings It will take for the amount of days gone and make sure your pump container holds more than that in water for that duration. Do this by filling the drip cup 2 to three (pending on how many fills per day you use,) and pour into your pump container how ever...
No prob. I feel sometimes small little ideas for US PEOPLE that are away from home at times and still love our Chams. Something like this if setup appealing could work for people that go to school or work long hours, Is simple and Cheep?
I read abit on your other thread, and see that you talked of lots of plants to help humidity, and this is true it works! I would slowly purchase some large plants for your room and just put them on the outside of the cage, but around it. All you have to do is keep these plants watered. With...
I just started a new Thread for you on this question for a way of dripping for leaving for several days. I started a new thread so other could possibly use the idea also.
Ok, This post is for those that have to leave their Chameleons for a few days at a time. There was a post earlier from "RACHELK" asking about leaving for a few days and wanted a way to get by without a Misting System.
So was looking for a way to efficiently water their already Drip Cup trained...
Yea but only when the Night temps do not get to low. I would not risk anything below 55 just to be on the safe side. I know some Chams can probubly go lower, BUT why risk it!?
I'd say 60 would be the minimum but with no wind and good sunlight. I would recomend not to take him/her down in temp drastically though. From like 75 down to 60 in 2.5 seconds. could be detrimental! Bring The Cham down slowly in temps if you plan that much temp changes.. Good strong direct sun...
Gideonus, The Thread poster. Hey I statred a thread last weekend Called "Great Escapes". I would really like for you to add this to my Thred. I love it, I just hope the little one surfaces. If so you can add your conclusion there and here also?
Thanks, Mike
Well sad to here, but dont let this unfortunate situation, keep from allowing you another try at a Chameleon. Now that you are connecting with this site, you can start out with another and on the right path to Chameleon care from the Knowlage and help of some of us here.
Ok, I got to say this one more time, :). Dont mind me but I, am no fan to Misting (drenching) Chameleons with water. So this is not a problem in free range.
There was a post about Chameleons gettin hydration through their skin about a week ago. and that summed it all up for MY position on...
Yea, hand and cup feeding, most definitely. Once your Chams reach Adulthood and growing is done, your Chameleon should only be fed every 2 to 3 days,. Once you get to this point its easy for me cause they usually are ready to eat and gobble up what "they want" for then.
After that return...
