Great job saving the poor lil guy he looks awesome. I second the post about the tail possibly being some retained shed and as said a quip with some mineral oil with a gentle rub should help to loosen it up.

    Mist King Trouble

They do clog when using regular tap water the minerals in the water build up and create the clog. However this usually takes much more than a week. I would think you could possibly be developing a air lock. An air lock can happen if your resivior runs dry. If that is the case usually unplugging...

    Rebel not eating

Sorry to hear your lil man is giving you a scare. You mention that his misting machine has stopped working but I didn't notice if you said what you are doing now for him for water other than the mention of a shower. Chameleons will sometimes stop eating when they are dehydrated, he doesn't look...

    Rethinking the Basics (Big Read)

Interesting post. I too keep my Chams almost entirely indoors and do not have problems with MBD. And being in Canada most months it just is not an option to get outside. The answer lies in your other topics uv and supplements With regards to your question on 5.0 vs 10.0 I do use the...

We use very simple and cheap chicken egg style incubators. Depending of the species you are trying to incubate they are very effective.

    Max the Houdini

Looks like a feisty lil guy. I would suggest possibly a few changes to his setup tho. Most keepers do,not use a sub straight as there are possibilities of accidental ingestion and issues that can result. Also I notice a water bowl ans Chams are not likely to use them for hydration. Most keepers...

    receptive colors

I've seen males act that way when they are a lil to young and seem to not recognize the female as a breeding partner bug rather a rival. Also males seem to be much more territorial and as such I would move the male to the females cage ( only if she seems receptive ) In my experience it's hard...
