    Just a nice morning

Being in a bathroom above the tub, means it is likely not drywall, but durarock. It is designed for use in wet areas and does very well with water. I may have to steal this idea some day. haha. :)

Ahhh, I didn't know there was another thread going or it. (y)

A report about husbandry and wanted to sort this out for my beautiful girl.

Welcome to the addiction!! Prepare for the onslaught of information. I am going to call on @Beman @kinyonga @jannb and @MissSkittles It looks like there are a lot of changes needed for the good of your girl. I will let them expound, but first fill out this form as completely as possible, so we...

I’m not sure if my female veiled chameleon is pregnant...

And that is why I left this to you. haha :)

I’m not sure if my female veiled chameleon is pregnant...

She is beautiful, but there are some things you can improve in her care. I will let @MissSkittles give the feedback on that, as I am sure she is working on it. I will say however that your girl looks quite plump and most likely has eggs.

    Bulbs?

I have 2 of these exact bulbs over my enclosure and the plants absolutely LOVE them. After 3 months under all of the plants are thriving and have grown amazingly. I have the enclosure in a room where the only light the plants get is from the enclosure lights. There is even very little ambient...

    Chuck Norris finally made it!!

It has been 2 weeks since my last update and Chuck just continues to grow and develop more colors. It looks like he is definitely going to have a green body and likely to have red bars. When in his pajamas he has A LOT of yellow, so I am hoping he develops some yellow in his awake colors. He is...

    Weird Noise At Night?

It seems like she was always sick. Her vet was one of the mods in this forum and we think the little girl was in poor health from birth. She was about half the size of another female I had, had a hip problem, constant RI's (like 2x a year), and she only lived to 3 years old. I got her when she...

do chams like to be misted

Wow, there are some very interesting drawings in that link. :ROFLMAO:

    Weird Noise At Night?

You may not have done anything wrong. Like I said, one of my females seemed to get them regularly for no reason at all. Posting pics of your cham, entire set up, and giving all info (even the small details) can certainly help spot any potential causes, or lack thereof. I don't know if RI shows...

Totally off topic, but I love the new Avatar!!

    Weird Noise At Night?

IME, popping is indicative of an RI. I would make an appointment with a Vet that has chameleon experience. Your little one will likely need some meds to clear the RI. Also, if it is indeed an RI, there is likely something in his care that is contributing to it. Double check all the parameters...

    Swollen tail?

I think your best bet would be to take him to a Vet with chameleon experience. That could just be his hemipenile bulge. At 1yr he has reached maturity and this is likely no problem. A vet could confirm and let you know if there is an issue.

    Misting

I would increase one of the mistings to 3-5 minutes. It often takes a couple of minutes to trigger a drinking response in chameleons. just be sure the enclosure has time to dry out between mistings. I am using a modified naturalistic hydration method that utilizes mostly night time fogging and...

    Coma state

I agree that the front leg especially looks odd (MBD?). Better pics would definitely help! He is a gorgeous chameleon though!

    Chameleon at bottom of cage

My cham panther chameleon will not readily accept roaches, or most worms. He devours crickets and hornworms, but avoids most other bugs. Also, he regularly sleeps on lower branches, usually hidden behind a leaf or two.

    Feeding Amount

Perhaps we can get some experts to chime in. Calling @Gingero , @kinyonga , @Beman , and @jamest0o0

    Feeding Amount

That is great and she is a great source for info. I am just sharing what I do and works for me. Bottom line is, if your cham is happy and healthy, keep doing what you are doing. I personally feed more right now, as my guy is growing fast, and eats a lot.

    Feeding Amount

I fed my little one as much as he wanted to eat until about 6 months. They can eat A LOT at that age. We want them to grow big and strong, so feed away. My guy would eat about 30 small-med. crickets a day at that age. Now he is about 6 months and eats roughly 10 large crickets a day. As he...
