I know, It is nice getting super well taken care of CB/CH animals instead of having to buy imports. Plus nothing can beat watching any species of chameleon go from a baby to a full grown adult. The transformations in personality, size, and color are unbelievable.
The Hoehnelii are so interesting to observe. The little male, who is about the size of one of my brevs at the moment, is not scared of anything. I was placing a food cup full of goodies in the enclosure for him and he just stared at me and as soon as I closed the cage he went right for it. And...
Haha I think I am going to need an alarm system on my house now. I have so much money invested in to my chameleons that it would be silly for me not to get one. Maybe someday when they are are all grown up they will make it out that way for vacation. Lol. Thanks everyone.
It is a very good day. I also could not have asked for better people to deal with or healthier animals. They now have all eaten in the last 5 mins and are doing great. I will post threads periodically as they grow.

They just arrived...
Hey guys, Just wanted to let you know they arrived and were all in perfect health. The little male Hoehnelii devoured some baby silworms, baby duiba, and fruit flies. All four babies have drank water from leaves or directly from the drops on top the cage from the dripper...
I am indeed very lucky. I obviously wont be able to sleep. I's like christmas but 1000 times better. And yes I will post pics prob around 10:30 or 11am EST.
So tomorrow I have 2 CBB Melleri coming and an unrelated(hopefully pair) of little baby Hoehnelii. All four chameleons were purchased from forum members. I will be posting pics that will be taken during the recieving process. These pics will be low quality pics taken quickly for record keeping...
I wasn't saying anything about my collection at all because I have captive hatched animals as well as CB and now a couple wild caught. I obviously can't prove where they came from but I trust where the CB ones came from. I'm skeptical of any wild caught/ captive hatched chameleon. And like I...
Honestly I see no problem with it. Anyone who is going to buy captive hatched babies is taking the same risk as buying a panther cham in a pet store or from a shady breeder. You don't know where the female came from for certain, if she was housed with males along the way of a different locale...
His parents being wild caught and hand selected by the importer doesn't guarantee he is 100% ambanja. It can probably guarantee his rfather was ambanja but there was a forum member who recently was selling babies from her Male Nosy Be and his wild caught girlfriend and they ended up not being...
Yeah if you do end up getting a panther and don't want to spend crazy amounts on your first guy Jim's chams are just as good for half the price of some of the other guys. I have chams from alot of the site sponsors so I'm not trying to knock them but I have never gotten an unhealthy cham from...
You can get a 4ft screen cage from LLL reptile for $79.99 I believe right now plus shipping which is like $15. After that you're still under $100 spent and would have plenty of money for a vet visit if need be. If you have the money now invest in the cage and wait until she is big enough and put...
Go to this link and about 4 or 5 posts down and member named sandra chameleon gives a list of probably 15 or so thread about breeding and of what you need to know. https://www.chameleonforums.com/panther-breeding-37935/
My panther go outside for a day here in michigan when its in the upper sixties and above. When it's in the upper sixties I have a basking light for them on top of the cage but they never use it much. I only put them out when it's that low if its sunny all day. Then they are actually warmer than...
I don't think it works when you try to breed to males together... In my experience they just fight when they see each other. I don't have any specific advice expect have tons of cash saved up for when they hatch, like $1000+. If you want arguments either way use the search function and plenty of...
Yes I know their lifespan is very very short, and that they are believed to be the only 4 legged vertebrate that's entire population dies off every year. While they would not make the best captives that are by far my favorite chameleon. In order to keep them you would have to have many unrelated...
I'd say the female is not receptive then either. It would probably be better to wait til the male is a little older anyways. It's nice to know what colors your sire is truly packing before you start breeding them. I have bred young males but prefer to wait until I know they are awesome looking...
Go to home depot or lowes or whatever they have in california(I haven't been there in a couple years) and get a tree in the gardening section. They have apple trees, peach trees, pear trees, plum trees, and lots of other trees. They are less that $20 usually and are between 4 and 6 feet tall...
