@Rango3d He looks absolutely wonderful. I've been looking around and I'm not as knowledgable as I'd like to be atm. Anyway, I've been looking at breeders to find myself a PC and yours is by far one of the most stunning I've seen. What a lovely chameleon you have.

Awesome, I'll look into those crates. I'm used to housing about 50 dubias at most, so, all this information is quite helpful

Yes, I gutload with bug burger as well as a variety of veggies I know are good for my cham. I'm more interested in enclosures and general setups - numbers of dubias in such setups etc...

I'm very interested in the setups you all have who breed dubias or other insects. I'd love photos!!! I want to start breeding my own and I'm looking for the most sanitary, functional and "clean" looking setup possible. I've seen various setups from some people out here and I just wasn't...

Chameleons not making good pets?!! What!?!

I handle mine enough to minimize stress for daily care and whatnot but not so much as to bother her needlessly for my own enjoyment either. But this is about them being "good" pets I think? And I am a strong believer that a good pet is a thriving pet. This can't be done without a knowledgable...

Chameleons not making good pets?!! What!?!

Ahh, see I just wouldn't get a 5 year old a pet. People truly forget the demanding, consistent training required for a puppy along with the breed factor. Any pet needs knowledge and the right care. I just don't want to confuse general with common. Of course, getting a 5 year old a pet...

In general, what is a good pet then? Dogs, cats, fish, horses? They all require knowledge and good care to be a good pet... same with chameleons.

Certainly if chameleons could hug, that would be it! My girl doesn't like to be handled as much anymore and I'm ok with that. Occasionally she wants to come out and roam though and she has her favorite spots :) I admire her and respect her space.

Oh yes :) We love our chameleons <3 <3

Chameleons not making good pets?!! What!?!

Chameleons that I know of, can become accustomed to being handled without being fearful and at times, my cham would often want to roam around outside of her cage or chill on me somewhere but I don't think chameleons really have the capacity to have emotions for us. With that being said, being...

Chameleons not making good pets?!! What!?!

I think what makes a good pet is an animal that can thrive in captivity. If they don't like being cuddled, that doesn't make them bad pets. I mean, you don't cuddle with fish and they are a staple pet. Being a great pet depends on many factors... dogs make great pet for those who love a dogs...
